I hate to do this to a restaurant, but I have to do the review based on my real experience.
We went in during the week and I was really excited to try Wahizza after seeing the fantastic reviews for Dominican pizza. We went to the Front, were not greeted by the person who was going to take our order, but shrugged it off and ordered. I wasn't in the mood for pizza, but my husband ordered the Chimi pizza and I ordered a Chicken Parm. We were the only people in the restaurant. We then sat outside to wait and eat our meal. 30 minutes later, we had not yet heard anything about our food or seen the woman inside who took our order. I went inside to check on the status of the order. She said it would be out soon. About 8 to 10 minutes later, my chicken Parm came out, but still no pizza. She said it was coming. About 15 minutes later the pizza came. I took one bite of the chicken Parm and it just was not good. When the pizza came, we just asked for a to-go box, because at this point we had been waiting for an hour for our food. The food did not look appetizing at all, my husband took a bite of the pizza when we got home, and shook his head "No." We threw it out at home. We threw out both the chicken Parm and the pizza. I'm not sure if the spot was having an off night when we went, but we will not return.
Also, the lady at the front and the cook were going back and forth (light arguing) regarding orders he was preparing, which was not professional in front of us...
Read moreWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Wahizza, a delightful new restaurant in our neighborhood, and it was an experience to remember. For our anniversary dinner, we made a last-minute decision to try this place, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice.
The menu offered a variety of enticing options, but we settled on the blackened chicken pasta and their margarita pizza. Both dishes were absolutely delicious! The blackened chicken pasta was perfectly seasoned, with a rich and flavorful sauce that complemented the tender chicken. The margarita pizza was a highlight, with a crispy crust, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of cheese and basil.
What truly sets Wahizza apart is its charming ambiance. The restaurant exudes the vibe of a quaint little spot in upstate New York, making you feel like you’ve stepped into a cozy, small-town eatery. The music played at just the right volume, enhancing the overall atmosphere without overpowering conversation.
Adding to the charm of Wahizza are the owners, who are incredibly warm and welcoming. Their genuine hospitality made our evening even more special and memorable.
If you’re looking for a place with delicious food, a wonderful ambiance, and friendly service, Wahizza is definitely worth a visit. We’ll certainly be...
Read moreWent in with my friend around 6pm on a weekday… first time for both of us. We were excited to try it because we’d heard great things… however, when we walked in we were immediately doubtful we would have a good experience. The first issue was the person working at the counter did not greet us. She looked at us and said NOTHING. We looked around to see if there menus anywhere but didn’t see any. There were three big monitors/screens above the counter but none of them had menu items on them. We asked for a menu and she hands us a small QR code for us to use. We contemplated leaving but seeing as how the business is Latin owned we wanted to support and stayed. Unfortunately, the food experience wasn’t any better. We opted for the Jamaican Pizza which beyond the minimal oxtail on the pizza, the crust was thin and charred and the pizza itself was soggy. It was beyond disappointing. The pizza, an order of 8 wings and two bottles of water came out to $70. It was such a disappointment. Typically if the food is great and the service is less than you’re okay because the food is good… well not here - they missed the mark on both the food and service. Reading the other reviews I realize either we got there on an off day OR those good reviews were left by family...
