It’s crazy to me that this place has four stars. I used to love coming here before I moved to Pharr in 2015. Since then I’ve come about 6 times or so, and every single time, the food that I get (I’m a picky eater and don’t like onions and bell peppers in everything) is really old. For example, the beans taste store bought (I’m a refried bean aficionado lol) and they are advertising selling “frijoles”. Fideo tastes old (IYKYK). And the bean and cheese quesadillas taste extremely old, like the flour tortilla is chewy. Like they’ve been sitting there for a while. Enchiladas? There were three and I got one to taste, and as usual, the chicken is incredibly dry.

I don’t plan on coming here again. I waited about 3 minutes at the front to pay because nobody was there. My wife told me I shouldn’t say anything but I did anyway. When I did, “service was great, the food has seen better days”, she didn’t seem surprised or even ask what it was that I didn’t like. On the white board in the back it said “45 people, with a personal name and phone number”, which makes me think that they’re probably still open because they do catering. Which I can’t speak to. Only speak to the quality of food that I ate at 12:30pm-1pm lunch hour. Buyer beware.
