Update: Kinda disappointed with my last visit here, the drinks have not changed at all, which is ok. But the seasonal drinks they offer, they didn’t have the ingredients to make them. Then it felt like our bartender just wanted to be on her phone, she was also wearing sweatpants, versus before they dressed classier. So this deterred from them being a bit more of an upscale bar like it used to be. I don’t believe I will be back. Old review: This place is yummy! Great drinks and snack options. Lovely decor and friendly service!

Drink was good stopped by with a friend for Tiki Tuesday had a passionfruit Margarita Yum! Mai Tai also in Picture they $7-10 drink specials. Decent decor. Menu was very limited for eats alittle disappointing. Suggestion get some kind of signage to put out front I only saw small lettering on the door and from outside looking you do not even notice the place. Or something in your windows to draw attention.

On the outside, this bar looks very much like a dive bar, DO NOT PASS IT UP. Went there because another place was closed and decided to go in. Let me tell you this place is absolutely awesome. Beautiful inside, great service, fantastic drink, and food to die for. Will definitely be visiting this place again.

"Warm pretzel with melted beer cheese." This is what we were served. Pretzels from a bag that were stuck to the plate. The "melted beer cheese" was straight out of the fridge. What a joke. The drinks were strong, but seriously? Why have a food menu if you're going to serve that trash?

Fantastic local watering hole. We haven't yet eaten here but understand the food is good. At the bar on a slow Monday night we got fantastic service from the bartender. Really good cocktails. The "classic cocktails" list is extensive and they're crafted to order; no pre-mix here.

Swankiest place along the Fox River. Perfect for a cocktail after a wedding rehearsal or just catching up with an old friend. Vern's Tavern is truly a magical place. All you have to do is sit back, relax and let the good times come to you.
