READ THE BILL
the food was really good, but if your young CHECK THE BILL. I went there with my friends, and I’m not sure if they thought we were stupid and wouldn’t notice, or if they just try to scam people on the regular . All I do know is that when the bill came out our 12 dollar SMALL- and trust me SMALL. Plates of pasta were suddenly 22$ and 25$, I always check the bill because restaurants try too pull thing like this when your young. BUT I HAVE NEVER been that blatantly insulted, usually they add cents, not a whole 23$!
After I corrected one of the items and the waiter brought back the bill, something else was wrong, suddenly extra chicken costs 13$ Yeah no. They had a completely different plate in. I had to pull out the take out box and show what exactly they gave us not a puttanesca pasta a fettuccine Alfredo. Yeah, not the same. And the waiter had the AUDACITY to act inconvenienced. Then they took the credit card, and mind you, I had just been almost scammed so I didn’t want their little hands with my credit card anywhere I couldn’t see. I watched as they charged me to make sure nothing else notorious was gonna happened, and the OTHER guy at the counter (the server was nice) was like
“Why, what do you think is gonna happened ?” He was soooo rude and gave us this dirty look. He was extra nice to all the other guests (not sure if it was racism or ageism cause we’re young and not white but I’m not gonna assume). And even with all the inconvenience, I was really nice. So I didn’t understand the behavior, like, sorry I didn’t let you scam me? Maybe he though I was gonna back down but confrontation is not something I’m scared of.
I will neverrrrrr step foot in that establishment again the stars are cause the food was decent and the name sounds good. Like Arouraaaaaa but yeah not for me and if you’re bellow 50 then not...
Read moreJUST NO. The chef at Aurora should be embarrassed for the "dinner" I received. The owner should be also embarrassed l the bill manipulation. (I NOW SEE THIS WAS NOTED IN ANOTHER REVIEW)
RESERVED a table at Aurora for a birthday dinner, By the time we were done, we had no desire to get dessert there. Went someplace else for a nightcap: single malt, red wine, and dessert...
NOT GOOD The Aurora In Fairfield charging $28 for green color pasta, A tablespoon full of canned corn, a teaspoon of canned white beans, canned green beans, a few garbanzo beans, and a few fresh tomatoes. (YES, the pasta was that color.) I JUST COULDN'T.. I returned it.
CHECK YOUR BILL They took the "Primavera off the bill BUT added another red wine when I only had one. Yes, they were asked to remove one red wine I never ordered or drank. They brought the bill back AGAIN... But this time the so-called "Primavera" I didn't eat WAS NOW on the bill. When it was questioned, the owner came out. He knew right away what the issue was. He knew it was a bogus thing to do.
DO BETTER Just because you have a good location, doesn't give you the right to serve crap food and then try to screw people on the bill. (The bill was over $100.00 so we werent just taking space and they still received a good tip because two wrongs don't make a right.)
LACKING The muscles were slivers of meat, (I understand, we can't control nature) but the presentation was nil. The $18 mushrooms consisted mostly of the ones from the small .89 can. When I was a child In the 70s, we would strain them and toss them on pizza. Pellicci's Chicken Scarpiello in Stamford has more flavor.
ONE PLUS zeni marogne valpolicella ripasso superiore Italian wine was very nice, smooth, and...
Read moreOn October 23, 2020, at approximately 7:30 PM I arrived at the Aurora Restaurant to buy dinner. After placing my order, as I was getting ready to pay, the person who took my order noticed my corporate card that shows that I am employed by Grubhub. This person stated that they had problems with Grubhub in the past and therefore Grubhub workers were not welcome in their establishment. I am an essential worker and I shouldn’t be treated like this just because you dislike the company I work for. This should not give employees the right to ban anyone from an establishment. We are customers just like anyone else, in fact, we spend most of our days delivering to those who are not able to due to their immune system being weakened or any other medical reasons during these traumatic times. Many people are not able to leave their homes or are afraid to because of this Coronavirus pandemic but still want to feel a sense of normalcy which we, as essential food delivery workers, are able to provide for them by delivering meals to their homes from their favorite restaurants. Furthermore, they were very rude and refused to listen to reason. Unfortunately, I am giving Aurora Restaurant one star although if I could I wouldn't give any stars at all just because of your lack of support for essential workers in the food delivery business. Shame on you Aurora for treating people like this. I wouldn't recommend...
