Arsaga’s Mill District LOOKS adorable. The dining area and patio are beautiful. The menu is creative.
Sadly, we cannot recommend this restaurant. After waiting an hour and a half ( only a little longer than typical among Sunday brunch locations) we were underwhelmed with our meals. The Dutch Baby had no rise at all. It was a sweet flat puck with a puddle of fruit on the top. My son was very hungry and had no idea what a real dutch baby looks like- he said it tasted fine. Maybe. But it wasn’t a dutch baby.
My avocado toast was missing the egg.
My husband’s order of french toast with a side of bacon was flat out terrible. The french toast was black. Overcooked to the point of looking dry and ashy; crumbly not “custardy”. The side of bacon may well have been corn husks. Also overcooked, ashy and dry looking. We alerted the server about the french toast she said it was supposed to be that way. But she would order another. ( in a tone that implied we were incorrect about the dish- y’all, if a breeze blew across it, that French toast would have turned to dust and floated away.) We were surprised that anyone would serve a dish that looked like that.
We took a bite to test it. Maybe we WERE wrong? Nope. dry dry dry. The replacement was less over done, but still on the dry side, with little flavor.
The replacement bacon was as awful as the original. My son and I also had sides of bacon- ours were nice thick pieces cooked properly, which makes it even more surprising that my husband was served terrible bacon twice.
The server forgot the signature latte that we ordered. After the food came, we asked about it. She said she would “check on it,” and returned with a regular latte. Not what we ordered. It was “meh.” Again, when asked about it , no apology, no care or concern that anything was amiss.
When we received the bill, the server said she had comped the latte and took 20% off the french toast without any prompting. So there was some acknowledgement that the meal was not right. It was appreciated, but didn’t go far enough to make us want to return. There were big problems with 100% of what we ordered.
*i forgot the avocado toast should have egg until after we left, so there was no opportunity for that to be remedied or adjusted on the tab.
Arsaga’s was a beautiful place, but served the worst meal we have had...
Read moreI have been coming to Arsagas for years, and have always appreciated their vegan and vegetarian options. However, my experience today was different. When it was time for us to be seated, our wait staff escorted us to our table, and made it about halfway there before pointing to the table from afar saying, “That’s your table” and then walking off before fully seating us. On my last visit, I ordered an iced oatmilk latte. I watched the barista make my drink, and it was made with cold brew instead of espresso shots. Although I wasn’t pleased with this, I didn’t return the drink and went on with my breakfast. Today on my visit, I ordered an iced oatmilk latte, and asked the wait staff about the espresso versus cold brew. She said that they are prepared with cold brew, but can be made with espresso shots upon request with an upcharge. My friend and I both agreed to espresso in our drinks instead of cold brew. When we received our check, the upcharge for our espresso shots were differing, and when we asked the wait staff about the discrepancy, she said she was unsure why but that’s what the button charged when she put the order in. We requested that it be fixed, which she did. I feel like the menu has false advertising when coming to their drinks, where it clearly lists “espresso” as part of their lattes, when the standard is to make them with cold brew. I do not agree that there is upcharge for something that is listed on the menu as part of the drink, when it should be made that way in the first place. Nowhere on the menu does it state that espresso shots are an upcharge, which is a standard for making a latte, whether iced or not. I also feel like the wait staff’s response of, “That’s what the button does” was not appropriate and had we not looked at the receipt closely, would have been charged extra. While it’s not a lot extra to be charged, I feel like this is dishonest of Arsagas to not be upfront about their menu. I am disappointed by this and the service we received today, and will be a continuing factor of whether I will visit Arsagas or not...

After calling 4x with no answer I decided I'm on this side of town might as well drop in and see, I call again while standing in line in the restaurant bc no one is helping me to watch the phone ring and multiple associates look at it while rolling silverware and move on...
Ask the cashier do you take calls here for carry out/to see if you're available to do carry out that day in which he responds yeah but sometimes Sundays are so busy we can't get to the phone (as we are both staring at two people ignoring the phone rolling silverware)
After getting approval for to go orders and taking the orders the cashier charged me 70$ for 2 orders of biscuits and gravy with two coffees, obviously thought this was off but figured I'd check my receipt before saying anything and yep got charged for more than what was ordered.
Cashier was very friendly and quick in fixing the incorrect charge and honestly if this was the only thing it wouldn't matter but every aspect of trying to order this meal was swimming up stream.
Cashier did say the food will take a while he was not lying, I mean I've typed all this while waiting for roughly 30 minutes for biscuits and gravy.
Food is usually pretty good, service is always hit or miss and the like all decent brunch spots in NWA they know even if they do stuff like this there isn't enough decent breakfast/brunch spots so they'll...
