My wife and I had a layover at BWI and decided to grab something to eat. We saw QDOBA and figured we’d give it a shot since it had been a while. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a big mistake.
The service was incredibly poor. The two women behind the counter, especially an older blonde woman, were rude and clearly in a hurry. Every time I asked for an ingredient in my bowl, she interrupted with an impatient “Is that all?”—rushing me through my order. When I asked for salsa, she gave me a tiny scoop. I politely asked for a little more to keep the bowl from being dry, and she said, “That’ll be extra.” I agreed, but was shocked to find out at the register that the small additional scoop cost $2.
The cashier, who was much friendlier, seemed sympathetic but hesitant—likely intimidated by the same blonde woman who had been so rude. That dynamic alone was uncomfortable to witness.
As for my wife, she asked for sour cream on the side of her quesadilla. The blonde woman rolled her eyes but said “yes”—only to never actually give it to her. After we paid, my wife went back to ask for the sour cream. The blonde woman ignored her and several other waiting customers, staying behind the counter but refusing to acknowledge anyone. Thankfully, the nice cashier helped my wife and handed her the sour cream without issue.
Overall, this location was a huge letdown. The food was average at best, and the service was far worse than you’d expect—even at a busy airport. I strongly recommend avoiding this spot and spending your...
Read moreThe Context: This is a Qdoba inside Terminal C of the Baltimore Washington International Airport, so this reviews for my fellow flyers.
The Food: I ordered a salad with chicken adobo and was able to customize it as the worker assembled it (similar to how it's done at Subway and Chipotle). Attempting to be "healthy," I added no beans, rice, or dressing and stuck with only grilled onion and bell peppers, corn, and pico de gallo salsa.
I gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. The chicken was moist with just the perfect amount of seasoning. The corn, onions, and bell peppers added some sweetness. And the salsa added all the "dressing" I needed.
The Bad: Since this is located inside an airport, there's only a handful of tables and chairs. Space is limited overall, and I felt like I was disturbing those who sat while I slide past them to look at the bottled drinks in the large display case behind them.
The Ugly: Hmm, nothing too egregious. Maybe the cost? For the salad and a 1-litre Fuji water bottle and tax, it cost me $20. Paying an Andrew Jackson for a salad and water seems brutal to me, but I guess that's airport pricing for you in these brutal economic times.
Overall: Despite the steep price, I was satisfied with the quality and portion of the meal. If I'm at BWI and needing a healthy fix, I'd definitely...
Read moreMe and my family had a layover at this airport that turned into 8 hours so we chose Qdoba because it was closer than other food options. When I walked up to the counter to order my bowl, I spoke and said “hey, how are you?” No acknowledgement. She just stared at me. I ordered 4 bowls total, they were not busy at all yet she wanted to get an attitude because she thought we were done. She said “what did you want because I thought you were done ordering, there are people in line” (THEY JUST WALKED UP) so I told her what I wanted and loudly said that she had a nasty attitude.
I let the person at the cash register know about the girls horrible attitude but she didn’t acknowledge me at all either. Clearly she’s part of the problem. This was our first experience at Qdoba and it was horrible. If you don’t like working with the public and don’t want to open your mouth and speak or TRY to be polite, maybe don’t work at an airport where thousands of people...
