It's a new family owned restaurant that has brought a bit of New England to the Winthrop Town Centre in Riverview. I initially didn't know what to expect. I'd never had a North Shore roast beef sandwich. So, I played it safe and ordered the French Dip sandwich. It was actually very good. I thought the roast beef was pretty legit. The roast beef was thinly sliced, pink, and very tender. Just the way I like it. Per the menu, it comes from a top round beef that is roasted in house. It definitely didn't taste like deli processed meat. It was the real deal. It was all about the natural beef flavor on this sandwich. The au jus was served warm, and wasn't overly salted. It was a good sandwich for the price. The roast beef wasn't stacked high. It was a good amount in my opinion. Now, what I thought was unique is that they also serve fresh roast beef sandwiches (North Shore) with James River BBQ sauce. I was given a sample of the sauce to try. Yes, the staff is very helpful. Listen to them. They have great suggestions. I would never had known how it tasted if it wasn't for the staff. It was very tasty with the roast beef, but my preference was to use it as a dipping sauce with the onion rings. It's zesty, savory, and peppery with a mild kick of heat. The house made onion rings were also pretty good. I gladly paid the extra $1.50 to substitute the fries with the rings, and I'd do it again. I also couldn't leave there without trying the fried whole belly clams. Fortunately, you can get a half pint side of fried shrimp, clams, or scallops to go along with your sandwich. These clams are absolutely delicious! I liked them so much that I ordered them again on my second visit. Only this time I got the combo platter, and included the fried scallops. The lightly breaded scallops reminded me of the old Branch Ranch in Plant City. That's totally a good thing. I really liked their fried seafood. Yes, I'll return for more seafood, onion rings, and roast beef. They do have other offerings as well as a few salads. The nitpicky side of me is thinking that they should eventually add more veggie sides on the menu. It's a new business, so I'm sure they're open to a few suggestions. They serve beer & wine at the moment until their liquor license is approved. Other than that, it's just great to have such a cool addition to Winthrop. Yay!

We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and waiting for us was a dog-friendly patio with a table in the shade... Schocka-bra! (Slang for really good, for those that don't know already). We had fried shrimp and bistro potatoes (hash fries, essentially), 1/2 order of the beef nachos, and a kid's burger with fries (for my Dingo, Rita). A cold beer and refreshing cola was the perfect compliment on a warm November afternoon in Riverview. Debbie was our server and she was knowledgeable in regards to the menu and though she was new here, could not have been a better compliment to this establishment. I understand that you can ask for a pup cup for your furry family member. It is a small bowl with roast beef. I will order for Rita next time and can't wait to return.

I was excited to try this place as I love seafood! But unfortunately you canât get any seafood thatâs not fried in a vegetable oil blend. I ended up getting a turkey sandwich which was nothing fantastic. I also split the garden salad with my husband because we were told that itâs big enough for two. This was the saddest looking salad Iâve ever had. Itâs lettuce used for topping a burger. Actually thatâs the only thing on the salad is burger toppings. A few tomatoes, pickles, and fiesta cheese mix. For the prices there should be better quality. I was told the grand opening would be soon and theyâre giving away tvs and a cruise. They should save some money and just make a decent salad with maybe a cucumber and carrots. Spring mix would have been great!

My family is from New Bedford Massachusetts so seeing a place billed as New England that served whole belly clams and other New England style seafood, even if all of it is fried was exciting. Short version is that I am still looking for someplace to get my whole bellies and New England seafood. This place is Meh at best. Decor is nothing to write home about and service is mediocre with us having no setups and such. Nothing wrong but nothing standing out either. But the real reason to be here is that whole belly clams are rare. But they were underseasoned, doughy, and not very flavorful. I may have even been slightly undercooked because they were mushy and just not great. So if you wanna see if it was an off night be my guest. But for me itâs a no.
