Hello Folks, JC here, also known as Johnny Lambchops. Please allow me to just give a quick history of my nick name Johnny lambchops. Before coming to Celo's, I was going to a restaurant called Alexandria Mediterranean Grill here in Melbourne Fl. This restaurant served up great tasting Mediterranean food. I ate out of this restaurant 3 times a week. Mondays for lunch, Wednesdays for dinner and either Fridays or Saturdays for dinner with friends. With visiting this restaurant 3 times a week, I have eaten many of thier great dishes. But, when I got around to the lambchops plate, boy let me just say that I had never tasted such expertly seasoned and tender lambchops ever in my life before. In fact I didn't even eat lambchops ever in the past. So after having these super great tasty lambchops, I rarely chose anything els for dinner and so did my friends. The servers new me as Johnny and gave me the nick name lambchops thus the name Johnny lambchops. Ok, enough about me, let's travel over to Celo's, this restaurant/bristo is own and operated by the same Egyptian family that owned and operated Alexandria before they decided to pursue a different model/concept without compromising on the same quality, freshness and great tasting authentic mediterranean meals anyone will surely enjoy. I say this because I have been going over to Celo's for a while now and while all of thier dishes are excellent, my favorite is still...yes you guess it...it's the lambchops. So folks please don't take my word for it, head out to Celo's and try it out for yourself, I have no doubts you will enjoy your meals and return time after time. Oh, bytheway, this Saturday 7/27 a special event will take place at Celo's to include an Egyptian belly dance show, want to participate,, you surly can.. I believe also thier will be free giveaways and a surprise ending.. wow,,,having lots of fun while enjoying a great meal, how great is that.. I'll be there, come on over, bring family and friends the more the merrier.😊👍 PS: There are one or two negative reviews on Celo's, but I wonder what thier real motives are. All I will say is try Celo's, if you didn't enjoy your meals then surly you won't return. I have not had a negative experience ever and don't expect to base on this history, and so I will continue to eat healthy Mediterranean food...

As I recently discussed during an interview with the Orlando Business Journal, Brevard County has seen a large increase in Mediterranean cuisine establishments. While most work hard to provide quality food, there had to be a Subway version of this ever-popular diet at some point. Lachrymosely, loyal reader, this is that place. Celo's Schwarma Factory (or Mediterranean Bistro according to Face Book) takes the lines of least resistance to previously unforeseen heights.
I ordered the Gyro Bowl and a Falafel Pita. Taking a seat, I was about to snap some pics of the interior but got distracted by my companion. My apologies. Our order was up, and I began the job upon returning to the table. First up on the Big Boy's distinguished palate was the Gyro Bowl. All bowls, like a sandwich, begin with the base. In this case, as in most, it was rice. This rice was so crunchy (my guess is it had been scraped off the sides and/or bottom of the steamer where it had been sitting for hours) that if I had any crowns on my teeth, they would have surely cracked. Seriously, I've had rocks that are more masticatable. The Gyro meat was extremely low-quality, and the veggies were uninspiring.
Having more than one bite would have been cruel and unusual punishment to any patron, let alone one of Mediterranean decent such as myself; therefor I moved on to the Falafel Pita. This was average to the palate. The Pita was obviously not made on site, and I hazard guessing neither was the Falafel. There is nothing wrong with food service products if they are not bottom of the barrel and your execution is spot on. Whoever was behind the grill today was executing properly and this dish was the reason it was not a 1 star review.

Read moreWe were very hopeful and excited that Celo’s would be our go to restaurant for middle eastern food since it is only 5 minutes from our house. Our first visit there was far from acceptable. My daughters’ chicken fingers were literally raw in the middle and when we brought it up to one of the employees behind the counter he just tossed the tray away, he was not apologetic at all, and even though he said he would issue us a refund, he never did (we could never find him again so we just left). My chicken shawarma wrap was soggy. The “chicken shawarma” wrap was soaked in water and falling apart. The flavor was off and the chicken was undercooked, yes I did have GI issues that night. I understand that it was a soft opening and they might have been understaffed but the quality of the food was subpar. I will give it another try in another 6 months hoping they would’ve had their kinks...
