From the depths of a wedding day disaster emerged a shining beacon of excellence – Chez Cani Café & Bistro. After a tumultuous experience at the Drybar hair salon threatened to derail the entire day, my bridesmaids and I stumbled upon this hidden gem in the same plaza. With our spirits bruised and hairdos in disarray, we hesitantly entered, hoping for a semblance of solace amidst the chaos.
What greeted us was nothing short of extraordinary. Amidst the hustle and bustle of brunch service, a kind server approached us, exuding warmth and empathy. In the midst of our frazzled state, they patiently guided us through the menu and swiftly took our orders, understanding the urgency of our situation.
Despite our apprehensions, every dish arrived promptly and flawlessly executed. Even my sister's gluten allergy was met with grace, as the kitchen effortlessly accommodated her dietary needs. As for my own order – the La Croque Madame – it was a revelation. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, transporting me from despair to delight in an instant.
But beyond the culinary prowess of Chez Cani Café & Bistro lies its unparalleled hospitality. In a single meal, they managed to transform tears into praises, salvaging what could have been a disastrous start to our special day. The ambiance, the service, and, above all, the food, all contributed to an experience that exceeded our wildest expectations.
As we left, bellies full and spirits uplifted, we couldn't help but vow to return. Chez Cani Café & Bistro isn't just a restaurant; it's a sanctuary for the weary, a haven of culinary delights amidst life's storms. To anyone seeking respite from the chaos, I implore you: look no further than Chez Cani. You won't be...
Read moreWe wanted to try this place located in Suntree but never were able to get there when they were open. We finally did. They served traditional french items and some American style food. I thought the menu was somewhat limited and it was annoying that most substitutions were an upcharge. For instance, my wife had a vegetable omelette and there was a $3 upcharge for a different cheese. The veggies were fresh but the omelette was bland and salt didn't help much. I had a croissant with egg and bacon. There was like one slice of thon bacon and a tiny slice of cheese that I could not taste. The crossante was good on its own. Each came with a nice side salad that was very tasty. We decide to try some desserts. My wife had the creme brulee which was not torched enough so there were crystals of sugar still on top. The ceme was a ok, a bit too light but OK. I ordered the Nutella crape which had drizzles of chocolate sauce on top. This was by far the best thing we had. The crepe was cooked perfectly with a nice chew and the Nutella was properly spread and not overbearing. Coffee was surprisingly weak and not as good as other French places we had been to in Brevard. My wife got a capachino which was OK, but not very strong. So, overall this was an OK place to eat, but if going for the crepes, I would definitely recommend. 2.5 for the food, 5 for the crepe. Gives...
Read moreI was craving a good French breakfast, and since my favorite spot was closed, I Googled crepes and this café popped up. So off we went! It’s located in a nice shopping center, and the space itself was clean and welcoming. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive.
My daughter ordered an iced cappuccino and the salmon eggs Benedict. I went with a warm cappuccino and the traditional French breakfast, which comes with your choice of a croissant or a chocolatine (chocolate croissant) I opted for the chocolate croissant along with French bread, butter, and jam.
My daughter loved her meal—she said the salmon was perfectly cooked and everything tasted delicious. Her drink was also a hit.
My experience, however, was a bit mixed. I had asked for my chocolate croissant and French bread to be warmed, but when they arrived, they were cold—like straight-from-the-fridge cold, not just room temp. The butter that came with it was also hard and cold, so I couldn’t spread it on the bread at all. That was disappointing, especially since the rest of the breakfast had potential.
All in all, the service was great and the setting was nice, but I wish more care had been taken in warming up my food as requested. I’d still give it another try for the crepes, just with different...
