La Ola Surfside Bell Tower Shops 3-29-25 Stopped by on around 11:15a on a Saturday. We were the first people in to sit at a table. This place was clean, neatly organized and gave us a beachy vibe with all the Reggae music playing throughout. Janet our waitress came over fast and took our drink orders. Once our drinks were delivered, she took our food orders. I ordered the Fish & Chips which came with Fried Fish, Fries & Coleslaw. My wife ordered the Lobster Roll which came with Lobster on a Toasted Bun with Lettice and for her side she got the Coleslaw. Our orders came out in reasonable time and all our food looked amazing. My Fish was light and not heavy on the breading just how I like it. I loved the fish and Tartar Sauce that came with it. The Fries were very good and even the Coleslaw was good as it had some Pineapple in it. My wife loved her Lobster Roll and Coleslaw. She is from Maine and stated it was one of the best Lobster Rolls she had in this area so far. All our food was hot and plenty of it. Janet kept on top of things checking on us a bunch of times. We will return here or stop by Ft. Myers Beach location as to try them all. Everyone needs to stop by and give this place a try you will not be sorry. I must give this place a 5 out of 5 stars for the good food, great service, and beachy vibes. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Follow Me On FB For More...
Read moreSaturday night at 5:00. Maybe 10 people there. April-snowbirds are mostly gone. Our server, Joseph, while stoic was very efficient. My wife ordered sangria which was good, plentiful and cost only 7.51 (happy hour price?). We received our drinks 10 minutes after our server took the order. The bartender was no where to be seen. I then noticed he came out of the bathroom. Instead of checking for any orders he chatted with other workers at the corner server station. Then he walked through the bar area and checked with 4 customers sitting at the bar. Then back to his friends at the server station. Only when my server said something to him and there was a piece of paper retrieved (the drink order I'm assuming) he went behind the bar and fixed the drinks. I normally would order 2 drinks but after taking so long I decided 1 is enough. The crown royal on the rocks 11.00 for the crown and 2.00 for the ice was borderline weak with a little too much ice to make the glass look full. The cranberry walnut salad and beef tacos were very good. The tacos don't come with sour cream so I asked for some on the side and was charged .75; kind of nit picky in my opinion. So many good restaurants throughout the area to choose from so it will be a while if at all...
Read moreWhoever the boss lady is literally dictating what the servers do and how they seat people should take a step back, since all she was doing was pretty much pushing them outta the way to do it herself. Firstly, when we walked in there were plenty of tables but the (same) boss lady made the server clean a dirty table while we stood and watched, and couldn’t sit until he swept, wiped, and took dishes away. Finally we are sat, we order drinks, but you cannot veer from the already provided drink menu, so they do not have an open bar. Got our drinks, the recommended fruit margarita (I just wanted a blackberry marg on the rocks) was pretty much just blended fruit with maybe a shot, I couldn’t even taste it, it wasn’t even sweet for how much fruit was blended into it. Now for the food, prices are a bit high for such mediocre food, we ordered pulled pork tacos —no sauce or pulled pork flavor, tropical fish tacos—most definitely freezer burnt and so fishy it was unbearable, the pineapple mango salsa was just fruit with tomato’s and onions, and finally we got teriyaki garlic wings —pretty much just soy sauce and garlic mixed up. The wing sauce was so overall salty my mouth felt burned...
