Nestled in the heart of the city, this Venezuelan restaurant is a true delight for anyone craving authentic Latin American flavors. From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming atmosphere sets the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. But it’s the food that truly steals the show.

The arepas here are nothing short of spectacular. Perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, yet soft and fluffy inside, they are the ideal canvas for a variety of fillings. Whether you go for the traditional reina pepiada (a creamy chicken and avocado mix) or the hearty shredded beef, every bite bursts with authentic Venezuelan flavor. Each arepa feels like a lovingly crafted slice of home.

And then there’s the churrasco—an absolute must-try. This juicy, tender cut of grilled steak is cooked to perfection, seasoned just right, and served with a vibrant chimichurri sauce that enhances every bite. Pair it with the restaurant’s expertly prepared yuca frita or tostones for a truly indulgent meal.

Service is attentive and friendly, with staff more than happy to recommend dishes or share the history behind them. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the generous portions.

Whether you’re new to Venezuelan cuisine or a longtime fan, this restaurant is a standout spot for savoring authentic arepas, churrasco, and more. Highly recommended for a casual meal, a family gathering, or even a special celebration. This is the kind of place you’ll find yourself coming back to...

I took my husband here for the first time since I have been here previously, and he could taste how good the food is. From start to finish it was just a bad experience we first had to wait awhile to even get greeted because even though the restaurant is small there was a party inside and nobody else could greet us in time. We told our server that we wanted two dishes that were the same except that the sides were different. After a long wait for the food our side dishes finally came in but only one dinner plate. I went inside and I asked her about one of the side dishes and that I was missing a plate food. Then she said that the fries were coming with the food a moment after she stepped out apologizing because she misunderstood the order. Which she thought that we were sharing a plate after I specifically asked for two of the same. My husband had to wait even longer for his dish to come out and when he did have a taste for his food it was bland but he proceeded to eat it anyway. By the time we got our check they charged for both meals even though we had a terrible experience and they got the order mixed up. Let's just say that I won't be coming back again. If the waiter would've tried to actually make up for the experience we had I would've been more than happy to tip her good but that also went out...

UPDATE (May 2021) Still a bit of a wait to be seated and the food (made to order) takes about half an hour to be served. I finally have to drop my rating to 4 stars (3.5 would be more accurate) though. For two reasons... First: while the quality is a tad lower (but still similar to before) the prices have increased considerably (by about 30-40%) the past couple years. This would be understandable since everything is going up, but it's a good bit more than inflation. Lastly, I usually go with at least 2-3 others and in recent visits they've served us separately, where the first person had a 5-10 minute head start eating while others awkwardly wait, or the first person lets their food get cold while waiting for the others to be served. This really affects the experience.

(Original review from 2017) Love the food and the prices. Almost dinged a star because it's usually a good wait to be seated and then another to be served, but the value is sooo worth it that I can't say it's not a 5 star...

My first experience with Venezuelan food! I ordered the Brazilian picanha with sweet plantains and black beans. I also had the blackberry batido drink! The drink was really good and tasted more like a fruity milkshake. The steak was top sirloin which I felt was very under seasoned. The chimichurri sauce helped but even the sauce had too much vinegar and not enough salt. Black beans were just standard along with the plantains. Hubby had the arepa with black beans and handmade cheese. It was really good and filling! Overall thoughts: Service was good. Food could have been a little more reasonably priced. I would not order the picanha again and maybe try something else.
