Layali Pizza, Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Forest Hills

Really good food. Actually, I’m quite surprised by how good it was given the fact the place is new and the prices are also super reasonable. I tried their rice pudding and Philly cheesesteak (1/2 size, 8”).

The Philly cheesesteak was so good! Although I asked for it without lettuce, and they still added lettuce, it was still really tasty. They had some sort of creamy sauce in there with the cheese too, and it worked really well. Great flavor. And, the bread was tasty too, crispy on the edges and soft in the middle.

And the meat — oh my, that was so fresh and delicious. Tasted a bit like shawarma meat, which I love. The vegetables were also quite fresh and tasty. This is a seriously great sandwich, and their half size is 2” larger than average for a cheaper price than most places!

Now, the rice pudding wasn’t as amazing. It was fine, but had a slightly strange flavor (like, a refrigerator taste if you know what I mean by that, kind of stale). The texture was pretty decent and they did top it off with some tasty pistachios, but I probably wouldn’t order this again if I went back.

let me start off with the shop its self. It is THE cleanest pizza shop i've ever been in. everything is brand new in there , and it is at a very convenient location 3 minutes off the parkway. The staff is nothing less than amazing and the owner Shaq is such a beautiful soul. He cares about his customers like they are his family. he was nice enough to deliver 8 pizzas at 3 different times to my kids school. he personally delivered them right on time, and threw in some free wings for my son whose birthday it was. he was so gracious he even threw in a free pizza fot the school front office. Needless to say the staff was raving about it. the food is off the charts when it come to taste , from the pizza to the chicken , they also carry several kinds of fried fish. they have something for every one. Reasonably priced but you cant put a price on the customer service you recieve and the full stomach that comes with it. This spot right here was definitely the place eat. Customer service was A1 and I love how they treated my son, very kid friendly, very generous and not to mention very keen on aiming to please. Taz is super hard to please when it comes to the simplest things food wise, but he didn’t waste a single bite and I’m shocked I forgot to take a pic of the complimentary ice cream and water that was given to my son he was dancing and smiling I think he made their day lol. I got all this food for about $24 which is really cheap compared to other restaurants I will be going back. They don’t have much of a table setting however there are plenty of chairs and they don’t mind if you relax and enjoy your meal.
