I came in on a Thursday with my girlfriend, wanting to enjoy a night and treat ourselves to sushi after a day of work and stress. When we walked in the building (around 8:10 PM), no one was there to greet us. A person behind the sushi counter told us we could sit anywhere, besides the back (which we didn't know at the time because our hearing is relatively blocked, we thought he was talking about the big tables because that's where he was pointing) we saw a table that was secluded in the back that still had menu's and chopsticks, so we stood next to the table. we hadn't sat down yet because i just wanted to make sure that this was an okay place to sit. Our server made his way to us and i asked "hey is this alright to sit?" which i was responded to a pretty passive aggressive response, "you know i told y'all to sit in the front area but this is fine." i could be reading into it too much but the fact that besides bringing us the food, he didn't check on us. I even offered to move when we got our drinks because it seemed like it bothered him, and frankly it bothered me because me and my beloved didn't feel welcomed anymore. With the offer to move, he just held his hand up and said "it's fine." his entire attitude just seemed annoyed of that one mistake. besides the service, i couldn't tell who even worked there or not besides the kitchen staff. our server wore a Naruto shirt and black jeans. What made me a little annoyed was we were the only ones not taken to a table, more people came in and they were led to a table. That one mistake that we made would've been avoided if he finished with what he was doing behind the counter and came to help us.
As a server myself, I understand frustrations, I understand customer mistakes, but one thing I don't do is make my customers feel unwelcomed, even if they come in 30 mins before closing or pick up an attitude to me.
Food was really good and i do recommend it, I believe i had the samurai roll, and my beloved had the California, both worth their price, but the crab Rangoons were pretty paper thin, and were very greasy. but that's my only complaint food wise, even then, they...
Read more(Updated Review) I am sad. Dirty dishes, lipstick on my glass, chunk of bone in my food... Like so many restaurants, they were good when they opened, but are trending downhill. If this continues, they won't be here a year from now. There wasn't much to choose from, and several selections were pretty much just different combinations of the same ingredients; crab, cucumber, cream cheese, sea weed, and rice. Some finely shredded potato on one, sauce on another, etc. Maybe that's why only 15 trays of "sushi" were set out when their buffet counter holds 27. I mean, how many variations can there really be? They did have a few exceptions to that, thankfully. Of course, as soon as they set anything out that actually had fish, it was gone within a minute or two. The few pieces I managed to get were still good, but not the same quality of fish as the last time I was here and not nearly as good as my first visit. The non-sushi part of the buffet was about the same as it has been, but one of the pieces of breaded chicken I got turned out to be a large chunk of breaded bone. Hurt my teeth. I noticed some dirty plates. The glass my drink was served in still had lipstick on it from a previous customer. Because of how good the sushi was before, I'll probably give it awhile then try them one more time.
(Original Review) The pics on Google looked good, so I decided to give them a try. Surprisingly, I was not disappointed. They have some things to work on, but what they're doing well easily outweighs them and pulls that fifth star. A couple notes: The non-sushi part of their buffet is lacking, and what I tasted from it was all just mediocre. So maybe not the best place for the non-sushi eater in your group. However, the sushi part of it was great! Most other sushi buffets cannot compare. With this being a buffet, I don't see the need for servers. How can someone earn decent tips if the only thing they can do is refill your drink a time or two? Someone coming by every five minutes just to ask how you are doing gets annoying quick. All in all, I think it still balances out to a good five star rating and I will definitely...
Read moreMy family and I have been loyal customers of Ninja Sushi & Grill for over 3 years. We’ve spent countless nights here, supported this business, and built relationships with the staff — not only with the head sushi chef who has always treated us like family, but also with one of the waitresses who was just as kind and welcoming. Sadly, all of that loyalty meant absolutely nothing, because our most recent visit was the most disgusting, humiliating restaurant experience we have ever had.
The so-called “manager” who served us was rude, dismissive, and flat-out hostile from the moment she walked up to our table. She cut us off mid-order, rushed us, and when we asked for a different server, she actually told us to leave. After the head chef begged us to stay, she came back and sneered that she didn’t want us there but would serve us “under her rules and terms.” Her behavior during the entire meal was nasty and degrading — and before we left, she told us point-blank that we were no longer welcome at the restaurant.
It gets worse: we reached out directly to BOTH owners, expecting they would want to fix this disgusting situation. Instead, we were absolutely horrified to learn they are standing behind this awful excuse for a manager and have decided to ban our family from returning — indefinitely. Years of loyalty, thousands of dollars spent, and genuine relationships built with their staff meant NOTHING to them.
This restaurant is now a disgrace to the community. If ownership supports employees who openly bully, humiliate, and drive away loyal customers, then Ninja Sushi & Grill doesn’t deserve anyone’s business. We will never set foot in this place again — and if you value being treated with even a shred of respect, you...
