Horrible service. We've been here 25 minutes and just got a can of diet coke. Queso hasn't arrived and neither have the tacos. Complained to the waiter who stated "the food will come when it comes" heard other tables also complain with the same response. I'm sorry but a can of diet coke and queso shouldn't take long to serve. Even tacos are pretty dang easy to just assemble (maybe they smoke the brisket when you order). Waited another 10 minutes and complained to the manager (other tables were getting their food before us even though they arrived/ordered way after us). He was much more helpful/understanding. He comped the queso and the can of coke. The queso was a congealed gritty mess. Not worth the $9. The tacos were good but small. Had they been bigger or cheaper I would recommend the food but the price doesn't match the value and the waiter Neal was just awful. He has no business in the service industry. Took over an hour for the rest of the food. And the order came wrong. I'd rather go to a taqueria or torchys or velvet taco. All have better food/service/price. It's sad because we just bought a membership to the children's museum across the street so we will be in the area frequently.

10/10🙌🏼 let me explain.. stopped in on a slow Monday afternoon and was greeted politely and sat immediately. We started off with the monday margarita special which was a $5 Best of Texas margarita and it was delish!! Loved the tajin rim I chose! We got our order of chips and salsa and it was hot, fresh, and SO good! Not too spicy, and the chips are dusted in a taco seasoning. The tacos were fantastic and giant portions! The shrimp tacos had 3-4 shrimp per taco and loaded with flavor and very well cooked! The chicken chicken tacos were some of the best I’ve tried! Juicy, tender, and slow cooked chicken paired extremely well with the partnering flavors. The plates come with charro beans, a whole bowl of them! These were so enjoyable, fresh and hot. Yum! The tacos are served with a red and a green salsa. If you’re not a spice person, go for green.. it’s flavorful and tangy! If you like heat, go for the red! Packs a delicious punch. Overall, the atmosphere is clean, great music, and modern western flare with tasteful furniture and neon signage. The bathrooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the patio/bar are super inviting!! We will be back!!

Oh wow! A trip to Fort Worth would not be complete without making the effort to dash over to Taco Heads! So get going! Hughlights: Fabulously friendly staff who have fun at work and function as a team; tasty and colorful menu items with tacos and guac, queso and beans, elote corn and so much more. They've got non-alcoholic beverages like Mexican branded sodas and the usual other stuff, plus killer simple and rustic margaritas. The pineapple with chili powder is the most perfect ending to a meal...no guilt, all flavor! Due to construction in the area it can be a pain to drive around to the back side to park, but rest assured they have an actual parling lot. It isn't too big but somehow it works. This is a fun place for coworkers to gather and crunch on chips while soaking up some limeade or a beer. This is an easy going place if you just got done with errands and you need lunch in a happy place. Really it's great for anyone! The food is flavorful, bright, and almost everything is right-sized, as in you will feel good about dining here. I love, love, love Taco Heads!

Worst restaurant experience EVER! Waited for over 2 hours for our order on a Sunday when only a few tables were occupied. Had to ask the server several times about when the tacos would be served with her response being soon each time. Watched as the few other tables around us were served with some tables sitting down way after we arrived being served. Finally frustrated and missing out on our day, we tried to ask to pay for the drinks and chips/salsa only and leave but all of a sudden 2 of the 4 taco entrees came out. Albeit, both sides that came with the 2 entrees were as if they just pulled them from the refrigerator- cold. Had to call another waiter over to please get the manager. Waited another 10 minutes and the other 2 entrees showed up. At about the same time the manager finally showed and when we explained how terrible our lunch was going and the amount of time we had waited for cold food he became visibly angry and irritated with us. First he asked what it was we wanted him to do about it. My response was I do not believe I should pay for cold food, how about we just pay for 2 of the 4 entrees, the drinks and chips/salsa. so we can leave? This infuriated him and he started to insult me by making statements such as, "I must have never worked in the food industry before, and how can I be such a bad example to my kids and how I was embarrassing myself for suggesting such a discount" while laughing as if he was a hyena in front of the other tables. It was bizarre! He continued verbally abusing us as we sat there stunned and shocked. One of the boldest comments from him to us is that he doesn't want patrons like us to come to his restaurant as he doesn't need us- as he had 15,000 other patrons just this past month- referring to who knows what (we had just come from church service). Avoid this place like a plague or you too can wait for 2 hours and get insulted by the manager for...

Although our waitress and manager were very kind, i probably experienced the worst customer service I have ever had at this restaurant. My husband and I came with our 9 year old son. We did not receive any silverware with our meals. Our son needed a fork, so my husband made eye contact with Neil. (Was told that is his name) He tried to get his attention and ask for a fork.

Neil walked over and said rudely to my husband "I can't read lips." My husband in shock, still asked for a fork.

After about 5 minutes, we saw a waitress (not Neil) come out with a fork. My husband thought it was for us, and told her that we were the people who requested a fork. Although it wasn't for us, she kindly gave it to us.

A few minutes go by, and Neil comes with a fork and SLAMS it on our table. My husband said that someone already had gotten us one. He came back and snatched the fork that he brought off of our table.

At this point, we were fuming and called Neil out as he walked off.

He walked back over to our table, attitude and all, and said "is there a problem? Do I need to get a manager" which we said yes.

The manager came over and apologized. Very nice..however HERE COMES NEIL again and said "I want to know what is being said about me."

My husband said that he wasn't talking to him and he was not needed. Finally Neil left..

The rest of the night, Neil stared us down..to the point our 9 year old was mad about it.

Neil walked around the whole night, entitled and like everyone owed him something. His demeanor is rude and like he is a victim...and took it out on us.

He was even disrespectful to the manager. It was disgusting to watch. He should find another job and a new attitude. We will never be back.

Thankful for our kind waitress and manager, but Neil needs to find some happiness in his life...

I'm not the type to leave a negative review, because I am a former sever/bartender and I extend a lot of grace towards my fellow service industry professionals. However, the (utter lack of) service we received this past Saturday night was so bad, it was practically surreal. After spending the evening at the stock show, our party of three arrived at Taco Heads right at 9:00 -- an hour before close. We were greeted at the hostess stand and asked if we would prefer to sit inside or on the covered patio. We opted for the cantina. There was a family sitting at another table and a single patron sitting at the bar, and no other customers in the room. We proceeded to wait fifteen minutes and were never acknowledged again. Two servers came in and out, checked on the other table, chatted with each other at the server station, and noticeably avoided eye contact with us. We were fully prepared to order quickly, run up a nice tab with premium drinks, take good care of our server, and be out the door well before closing, but we never got the chance. Instead, we waited without menus at a dirty table in a dead restaurant while the servers snickered with each other, the bartender played on his phone, and the minutes ticked by. We finally got up and left after playing the "if another five minutes goes by and we haven't been greeted, let's go somewhere else" game. I am completely sympathetic to the irritation of customers coming in right before closing time, but you ran off people who were ready to spend money AN HOUR before close on a SATURDAY NIGHT.

We have enjoyed Taco Heads on previous occasions, but after the embarrassment of being so deliberately ignored, we will not be...
