Five Guys — Restaurant in Foster City

We came here because of some fast food cravings. The store is located in Metro Centre, a beautiful and quiet place during weekends.

First impression, big store but very clean. The floor, the seating areas, the counter top at the cashier and pickup. The staff was fast with all the others. They tried their best to meet customer’s needs.

We order one fountain soda, a Hamburger, a Bacon Cheeseburger and Little fries. The hamburger was dry and very plain, but the bacon cheeseburger was very delicious. The bacon was fried till crunchy and the cheese filling was flavorful. The fries were burned a little, but still okay. For the fountain soda, we went for the Vanilla flavored Coke. It tasted interestingly thirst-quenching.

Because it was a beautiful day, we went outside to eat and enjoy the day. It was pretty chill, so I forgot to take pictures of...

Does anyone else think Five Guys burgers are bland in comparison to other burger places like Habit, In-N-Out, or even McDonald's? They just don't have that same saltiness and tastiness in them- they taste and look like a homemade burger, but in a negative way. Granted, I ordered something very simple from here, which was a plain cheeseburger, but those other places still manage to make something like that flavorful. I feel the same way about the fries, they're not tasty or salty enough. The food isn't atrocious by any means, just bland. The fact that they serve peanuts is pretty unique, but I personally can't eat them due to my allergy. Other than the food, the service at this location is whatever, and so is the atmosphere. Sometimes the tables and chairs have crumbs....

Five Guys Burger 🍔 is one of my Mom’s favorites eateries. Yet today when I ordered it to go for my Mom’s 90th birthday, she was extremely disappointed! The hamburger was well overdone with sinewy chewy pieces. The bun was soppy wet with mayo. The French fries were basically limp and dead! Definitely, they weren’t fresh! And to top it off, my Mom felt the strawberry 🍓 shake had too many chunky pieces of seeds which she had to chew. The milkshake was not smooth in her words!
