Sanjha Chulha (The Indian curry) — Restaurant in Fresno

If you lead a live of adventurous gastronomy then you know a lot of the time it's a let down, food turns out good enough or okay. You do this because from time-to-time you find a hidden gem that makes up for the bummers. So.... I stumbled onto Sanjha Chulha at 1: AM. They had just closed, said the gentle man. I was about to say "next time then" and he asked; "well what did you want to get?" "Whatever won't foul up your kleen kitchen" as politely as I could answer. He offered goat and rice. "I'll try your goat." If you just said "eww" STOP IT! Not even the slightest hint of "game". To the contrary the sauce was what you expect a grate homemade dark red Indian curry to taste like. I mean layers of flavor with good mouth feel, and the meat was like a lamb osso buco you know, that sticky and sweet collagen you can only get from a braise and hours of slow heat. Definitely look forward to whatever I'm offered next time. This find will make you popular with your foodie friends, I know because I'm your foodie friend. The owner “Mickie” is very friendly & helpful. I asked what type of oil they use (soy) & if they use MSG. They do use MSG in some dishes so he offered to make my dishes from SCRATCH! 🙌🏻👍🏻😺 The wait is 15-20 minutes (for made from scratch orders), no big deal I watched a youtube video on my phone. They DON’T use “Safflower” or “Palm Oil.” They also don’t use Safflower in the seasonings either. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻. If you have allergies I recommend avoiding Safflower anything. The vegetable dumplings 🥟 🥟 🥟 don’t have any MSG & various other dishes. They carry various vegetable 🥗 , fish 🐟 & chicken 🐔 dishes. So lucky to find this new gem of a Northern Indian foodtruck - Sanjha Chulha - in Northeast Fresno on Perrin and Summerville, in the Chevron gas station lot. Definitely check it out, y'all. They're open for lunch and dinner every day.

It's legit amazing. Every sauce is made from scratch; you can taste all the fresh spices. The owner was so nice and talked to us about where he was from (Kashmir, India) and his passion for sharing his homemade recipes with the community.
