FAT G's BBQ( Reitz Union Cafe) — Restaurant in Gainesville

Food was fantastic. Prices were a little higher than other stands in the food court but it was definitely worth it. I got a Fat Boy Special with brisket and baked beans, tasted great. I haven't had brisket since I moved to Gainesville, and I had low expectations considering it was in a good court, but honestly it was some of the greatest brisket I've had. I'll definitely be coming again, I want to try the Mac bowl next time. Though even better than the food was the customer service. The employees were very friendly and kind. They asked me how my day was and we spoke for a bit while they prepared the food about how long they've been working in Gainesville. Most of the workers in the food court usually look and act disgruntled. However the three people working behind the counter at FAT G's today seemed genuinely happy to be there. They were joking around with one another and had smiles all over their faces. They were even having fun with the people working in the stand next to them. One thing I truly enjoy about Fat G's is their customer service along, with the great food they serve! As soon as I walk up to the counter, I am always greeted with smiling faces and great hospitality to match! It it makes the food even more tastier. As a student at UF, I never have to worry about not feeling full after. Fat G's BBQ will have you feeling full and content so I can take on the rest of my day with classes and studying. One of the best BBQ places in Gainesville and my go-to lunch spot when I'm on campus. All of their proteins are delicious, smokey, and tender. The mac and cheese is everything you want in a mac and cheese - gooey, creamy, and delicious. But one of the best parts of stopping here is the customer service.
