My wife and I recently moved to the area and I have been missing good bbq. We got the Whole Hawg combo with Corn, Mac n cheese, and grits as take out (Got the corn twice because I had a feeling). I am being fully sincere when I say that everything was absolutely perfect. The turkey, which I don’t usually like, was tender and juicy (2 words I rarely get to use to describe turkey). The chicken skin was crispy and salty and seasoned so well while the meat was flavorful and tender. The brisket. What the hell do they do to make it like that? Whoa. The ribs are big and meaty and I was thrilled to see that they were cooked just right. The bones don’t fall out of the meat because they aren’t supposed to. The smoke permeates all the rib meat. I wish I would have ordered more sausage. This will be enough food for each of us to have 3 meals but that’s not the point. More of that sausage will be had soon. The pulled pork was really well done, too. I’m accustomed to getting it wet and greasy. This has fat content but it’s not slick. It’s perfect. The grits are a rough grind and clearly cooked LONG. So tasty. The corn is a food group. Sweet and smoky. If I HAD to give one note, I’d love the Mac noodles to be boiled 1 min shorter as I like somewhat firm pasta. It is not mush at all. It’s REALLY good and the cheese and seasoning is to die for. Mine is not a complaint here. Just a preference. I will order it again and eat it all. About the only trouble the 2 of us will have is finishing all of it in 3 days. We shared it for dinner and have at least 2 lbs of meat left. We also tried all 3 sauces for fun. None of the meat needs it, but all 3 were welcome additions. The spicy is not too aggressive and the sweet is just sweet enough. We will be back. Soon. If you’re planning to dine in, it is a downtown location so plan parking accordingly. The dining room is big and wide open with some outside seating as well. Staff was very friendly and helpful to...

This was a "GREAT", "GREAT" stop!!! We arrived around 4 p.m. and the restaurant was nearly empty which was totally expected as Monday and Tuesday in the restaurant business tends to be low revenue days. The Hostess that greeted us did a FANTASTIC job. She was very personal and accommodating. I am a large man 6'4" 290lbs with a petite wife who loves booths. The Hostess managed to move around a seat of a booth to accommodate us. Customer Service at it's best. We were in our seats less than two minutes when Steven (our Server whoit turned out was a 100% Top-Notch Server) arrived to welcome us. He took our drink order and to answer all the questions about the menu, he informed us what items the kitchen was out and to recommend his favorites. We ordered and our food came out with no long wait and not only did everything look fantastic and after a prayer we dove into our mealsand they tasted just as good. I ordered a brisket platter with black eye peas , home cut fries and Texas Toast and my wife ordered a "pick two platter (bbq chicken and brisket) collard greens, sweet potatoes and texas toast.. The only surprise of the day was being told they had no ribs ... ponder on thar America. Without becoming political but due to this current White House Administration belief of holding firm on a totally outdated Covid injection mandate the country's supply chain has been broken. Half of America's dock workers refusing to blindly take a Covid shot with no proven data of success or falure are joined by tens of thousands semi truck drivers who were refusing the Covid injection due to fear of the long term harm to their health and future inability to earn for their families. But enough of that! We would suggest to everyone that have not tried MOJO Hogtown to come and give it a try at least once.... We...
Read moreNew Years Eve... One of the busiest evenings of the year and my two teenage daughters and my cousin were excited to see there were open tables when we walked in the door. We thought it was bc it was only seven pm and the crowds hadnt hit yet. The hostess told us a twenty minute wait, and none of us are impatient, so we grabbed the beeper and sat outside. We chatted for a while and people watched, figuring since there were at least five tables open we would be seated at any time. FORTY FIVE minutes later, my cousin (who never complains) goes to talk to the hostess to get a feel for how much longer. She comes back and tells us that the hostess told her "the back of the house got swamped so they you her to stop seating anyone". One hour and fifteen later, I finally go in and count nine empty tables. I was polite the entire time, and since I have a little restaurant experience in also sensitive to the kitchen. The management of this place lost the ball and there's no telling how much money they lost on so many empty tables that night. I hope the right people get this review, cause if this was my place, I'd send someone packing. A group of twelve came in and left as I crossed my name of the list myself. Pathetic, amateur handling of what could have been a great place for New year's. Not my resto, but whoever's it is must not care about how much they make or their customer service. I might give it another chance, but after they handled new years the way they did, I doubt it. Apps would have been a nice offer while we waited or at least the offer of a drink. It seems you LOST YOUR MOJO MOJOS. RENAMING IT TO SLOWJOES MIGHT HAVE HELPED US...
