The food was delicious, my waitress was very nice, but I really wish my waitress would have double checked my order before I was charged for something twice the price of what I ordered, as someone very obviously not used to going to a steakhouse. When I first ordered, she didn’t hear me and thought I got the 7oz beef fillet. I clarified, no the 8oz sirloin steak. I thought when I gave her the full name of the dish it would be clear. Mind you, I am very obviously not used to being at a steakhouse, so I thought I would just give her the full name of what I wanted (the cheaper dish) and that would clear up any miscommunication. I’m not familiar with steak, so when my dish came I didn’t realize it wasn’t what I ordered. When I got my check, it was much more what I thought I ordered, and I asked her, sorry I thought the sirloin was $28, and she said, no I’m pretty sure it’s $45. Well it turns out, it turns out I was served the more expensive dish, because I guess she didn’t hear when I clarified the details of the order (the 8oz smothered sirloin). Obviously I know this is a mistake on both our parts because she put my order in wrong but I didn’t correct her but I really wish she would have double checked again since I was very obviously not used to being at a steakhouse and not sure what I was doing. Otherwise she was very nice and my food was delicious and the ambiance was great. (I realize I did also make a mistake but Im just really upset that my bill was so much more than what I...
Read moreWe stopped in after a reccomendation and long travel. We were sat in the back corner of the restaurant I'm not sure if it's because we were in travel clothes had children with us or if all the other tables were booked already. We ordered appetizers and when they came I was surprised how small they were. The mussels were delicious however had only 6-7 in the dish. The waiter probably should have recommended more options. Needless to say they were delicious. Calamari not so much. We ordered bread and asked for more then one order as we were hungry. My ribeye steak was not prepared to my liking and lacked flavor so I ordered the bone marrow butter to assist me, mushroom rissoto was just ok My husband enjoyed his carbonara. I was not a fan and chocked it up to he was just hungry.I wanted grilled chicken for my son which he said was ok. I'm all for paying alacart however i expect the food to be exceptional. When we got the bill I was surprised of how they decided to charge for my sons kids meal. On top of charging us for each order of bread. Before leaving I over heard another server explaining the specials to her table. I would have liked to hear them. Again maybe it was our travel clothes or they weren't prepared for a walk in. Maitre d was pleasant and server Dean...

Full novel: My husband and I took a random day trip to Galesburg and looked in the window of Craft--we knew they were closed and just wanted to take a peek at the menu. One of the staff members, Chris, saw us and welcomed us in. He introduced us to Chef Bart and the two of them just treated us to the nicest little tour of this restaurant which is BEAUTIFUL, btw. We walked in and said "Wow!". The Lounge and bar make you feel like you're in a much bigger city, the dining room is elegant and comfortable and the outdoor dining area is modern and spacious. We were so hooked on how this place looked and felt that we immediately made reservations for dinner the following evening even though we live an hour away. I am so glad we did. Dinner was amazing, drinks were on point and of course the service, second to none. Craft is honestly a hidden gem in Galesburg and I was really struck by their attention to detail. We are already planning our next trip. If you want big city feels and atmosphere mixed with local expertise and flavors, this is the...
