First, they brought the wrong burger out. Then when I told them, they simply stood there, said OK, grabbed the food, and walked back to the kitchen. When they brought out the right burger, it had a hair in it. When I told them my food had a hair in it, they again simply said ok and took the food back to the kitchen without another word. Then they brought out the smothered chips appetizer. It was missing half the ingredients. When we asked them about the appetizer missing half the ingredients they said "yeah, we are out of those." They should have told us they were out of such and such ingredients and asked if we still wanted the appetizer. The answer would have been no thank you. The staff was also taking shots at the bar and not really doing anything besides drinking. One would occasionally pop over to see if the food was ok. The food that wasn't missing over half the ingredients or had hair in it was disgusting. The garlic parmesan wings tasted like oil and oregano and nothing like garlic or parmesan. The bathroom stalls also didn't have doors just a curtain. We payed about $125 which was basically just what I like to think for the experience because there is no way it was for the food or service. I'm convinced the only way they are still open is because of tourists in Galveston who go there who don't...

This restaurant is the only restaurant I can walk to from my house, and I go there to have a beer or cocktail and to watch the sunset over Galveston Bay. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful. However...the food is ALWAYS disappointing. Usually overcooked—from the burgers to the fried food. Last time I was there I actually had to send back the fried green tomatoes because the corneal breading was burned. How do you screw up fried green tomatoes? It’s my guess that they rarely change the oil in their fryers, and they’re frying things at too high a temperature. The last time I ordered a burger it was so overcooked and dry, I could barely choke it down. They can never keep a chef because there’s no air conditioning in the kitchen. I wish they’d figure out the food, because I love the atmosphere and it’s important to me to support Galveston businesses. My advice: Eat before you go here to socialize and...

Service and food quality are normally very good, however this time it took forever for the order to be taken and even longer for the food to be delivered. It is an open-air restaurant and the mosquitoes were horrible. What made it even worse was there seemed to be no attempt by the owner or management to control this problem except for providing Deep Woods Off Spray. Even if they hadn't been very effective, citronella candles surrounding the restaurant or bug zappers would have been better than nothing at all which is what it was. We had to take our food and run so as not to be blood donors for the massive amounts of mosquitoes that were attacking us. Sadly it was a very unpleasant experience as this is my favorite place to eat looking out over the ocean as the sun sets and a nice sea breeze blowing through the restaurant. I was very...

We stumbled upon Marina Grill after a day at Stewart Beach. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. The bartender/waiter was very friendly and the crowd was also. They have a bar and several TVs. What makes this place great is its location on the marina of the yacht basin, away from the hustle and bustle of the Seawall or Strand. It has a lovely view of the harbor and the sunsets are sublime. It was lovely after the sunset with nice lighting. My only complaint was that the kitchen closes at 8 pm on weekdays, which is before the sunset during the summer. We made it there with 10 minutes to spare/order. They should keep the kitchen open a little longer during the daylight savings hours... People are just coming off the water/beaches at 8 pm and looking for food! We will be back... We will just have to watch our time!

LIMITED MENU. It wasn’t what I expected from all the hype of previous reviews. I said I would wait but honestly, it’s better to post and update so no one else gets blind sided as I did. Out burgers were made from boudin. I don’t like boudin (personal preference ) but I ate it anyway. I really wanted to go upstairs but the waitress said the tables were probably wet so we might as well stay downstairs in the bar area. The tables WEREN’T wet! I would call to verify if the menus are still limited in case you don’t like something on the menu. I posted their current LIMITED MENU!

Beautiful marina views and a relaxing patio atmosphere. The Marina Bar & Grill is an excellent spot to take in views of the water and ships in the marina, have a drink, and enjoy some seafood. The shrimp tacos were delicious, and we all enjoyed the chips and queso, The kids especially loved watching a cruise ship come in to dock while we were eating. Service was friendly and attentive. A nice option away from the crowds for a relaxing, casual meal.
