Just okay. We had two meals here while attending a convention. I had suggested we stop because I have an enormous sweet tooth and they claim to be a bakery. The good. My sourdough burger with grilled onions was tasty but the accompanying sweet potato fries were soggy and gross. But it was the pie that was the HUGE letdown. All six of us ordered pie. Two got apple, one pecan, one chocolate , one cherry, and I ordered the banana cream. None of us were impressed. My slice featured a soggy crust and a bland pudding filling, nothing of banana about it. The pecan came out of the kitchen as a blob on a plate. The apple eaters also complained of soggy crusts. Honestly we would have been better served buying frozen pies from the grocery. But despite our disappointment with the pie we returned to Coco’s today. Two had breakfast and enjoyed it while two others enjoyed the aforementioned sourdough burger. One person had the Cesar salad which featured limp lettuce. (Not at all good) and I had the sourdough steak sandwich. It was just okay. But what really annoyed me about this visit was that I specifically asked the hostess to have our server to bring out some ice cream for our friend who was celebrating his 50th birthday. She never did. So in short, eat the burgers and breakfast but skip the pie and don’t expect them to go out of their way...

Ordered a dinner for $12.99, ordered a cup of soup, ordered a salad, "did not" order any sides with the dinner. Was charged $2.00 for the soup and $2.00 for the salad in addition to the $12.99!! The cup of soup and salad are not considered sides. So I was charged $12.99 for a piece of chicken. My friend ordered the same meal. When he was served, the amount of mashed potato's was small. He asked for a "bit" more of potato's and was charged $3.99. Ordered a Strawberry lemonade, $4.99. Was not offered a refill and it was not a large glass by any means. I'm guessing that if I had asked for a refill I would have been charged another $4.99. Spoke to both the server and the manager. Was very politely told that this is the way "corporate" has instructed them to charge. Other that receiving a "I'm sorry" no adjustments were made or offered and the manager stated that it would be more effective if a review was written since corporate doesn't listen to their restaurant managers. $12.99 for a piece of chicken is utterly ridiculous. Just lost 3 customers who have been customers and who have eaten at Coco's many times for many years. I will most definitely be sharing this experience with family and friends. Maybe, just maybe this has something to do with multiple locations in Southern...

To start, the waitress we had (Sara) was incredible. She was nice, friendly and didn't mind chatting with us in the empty restaurant. Even when other customers came in, she made sure to check on us constantly and took care of us like we were friends or family. However, my family is gluten-free. We saw that they offered gluten-free pancakes (my husband's favorite), so we chose them. Originally, the cook took a lot of extra time to get them to us, having made the wrong kind of pancakes, completely understandable (we are two people who grew up in and worked extensively in the food industry). When we got the pancakes, they were nearly raw inside! We asked for them to be remade and Sara took care of us and apologized emphatically, though it clearly wasn't her fault. We got the second attempt and it was more raw than the first!! We were concerned about getting sick, so we decided to leave them. Thankfully, we were offered a significant discount on our bill for the trouble, but we definitely don't want to go back, especially not for breakfast. Aside from the raw pancakes, everything else (including the coffee)...

This place is a classic!! Was in town for a conference and wanted a reasonable meal and breakfast for dinner sounded SO good. They serve breakfast ALL day. Yes the building is a bit run down. Yes everything inside is dated. Yes the hostess/waitress is an absolute doll and gives you small town service. Yes the portions are HUGE and SO CHEAP. I am shocked that more people don't come here. If I had kids going to Disneyland I would bring them here. Waaaaaay better than those other fast casual chains. No joke. I ordered from the smaller plates section thinking it would just be eggs and potatoes and then she asked me what bread I wanted. She recommended the pancakes and again I thought I'd get one small pancake. Nope! I got two BIG pancakes that were fluffy and perfection. This meal was a warm hug after a day of travel. And the cost? $11. Insane. Please come here and tip generously!

We stopped by Coco Restaurant & Bakery on our way back from Anaheim. We were originally planning to go to Denny’s, but we saw this place instead and we’re so glad we did! The staff was incredibly friendly and seated us right away. It’s a small, cozy diner with a welcoming vibe. The menu had so many great options, and we really appreciated the photos of their popular dishes as it helped us decide what to order! We ended up getting the Eggs Benedict on French Toast and the Strawberry Cinnamon French Toast Combo. Both were absolutely delicious super flavorful and perfectly cooked! They’re also known for their amazing pies, and all the ones in the display looked incredible. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try any since we had a 6-hour drive ahead and didn’t want to be too full, but we’ll definitely be coming back for that! Highly recommend this spot if you’re in the area!

My wife and I have frequented the Garden Grove unit for the last 4 years. We usually come on Wednesday’s, for our slice of pie with our meal. Last Wednesday, 11/3/21, we were greeted by a delightful server, ( sort Asian woman) and now wish she’d of been our server. Our server went through the formalities of service. The food was good as usual. The very courteous server who greeted us ,made sure she asked the customers behind us if they would like their complimentary slice of pie for there or to go. Our server never mentioned it and it’s not our responsibility to remind him, though that offer is posted on the the window. We work in the “ guest relations “ industry, she’s an “ attraction’s host “ and I a F/B chef. We’re very disappointed and if we return and are seated by “ that male “ server . We’ll request someone else. Have a pleasant day.
