Just okay. We had two meals here while attending a convention. I had suggested we stop because I have an enormous sweet tooth and they claim to be a bakery. The good. My sourdough burger with grilled onions was tasty but the accompanying sweet potato fries were soggy and gross. But it was the pie that was the HUGE letdown. All six of us ordered pie. Two got apple, one pecan, one chocolate , one cherry, and I ordered the banana cream. None of us were impressed. My slice featured a soggy crust and a bland pudding filling, nothing of banana about it. The pecan came out of the kitchen as a blob on a plate. The apple eaters also complained of soggy crusts. Honestly we would have been better served buying frozen pies from the grocery. But despite our disappointment with the pie we returned to Coco’s today. Two had breakfast and enjoyed it while two others enjoyed the aforementioned sourdough burger. One person had the Cesar salad which featured limp lettuce. (Not at all good) and I had the sourdough steak sandwich. It was just okay. But what really annoyed me about this visit was that I specifically asked the hostess to have our server to bring out some ice cream for our friend who was celebrating his 50th birthday. She never did. So in short, eat the burgers and breakfast but skip the pie and don’t expect them to go out of their way...
Read moreOrdered a dinner for $12.99, ordered a cup of soup, ordered a salad, "did not" order any sides with the dinner. Was charged $2.00 for the soup and $2.00 for the salad in addition to the $12.99!! The cup of soup and salad are not considered sides. So I was charged $12.99 for a piece of chicken. My friend ordered the same meal. When he was served, the amount of mashed potato's was small. He asked for a "bit" more of potato's and was charged $3.99. Ordered a Strawberry lemonade, $4.99. Was not offered a refill and it was not a large glass by any means. I'm guessing that if I had asked for a refill I would have been charged another $4.99. Spoke to both the server and the manager. Was very politely told that this is the way "corporate" has instructed them to charge. Other that receiving a "I'm sorry" no adjustments were made or offered and the manager stated that it would be more effective if a review was written since corporate doesn't listen to their restaurant managers. $12.99 for a piece of chicken is utterly ridiculous. Just lost 3 customers who have been customers and who have eaten at Coco's many times for many years. I will most definitely be sharing this experience with family and friends. Maybe, just maybe this has something to do with multiple locations in Southern...
Read moreTo start, the waitress we had (Sara) was incredible. She was nice, friendly and didn't mind chatting with us in the empty restaurant. Even when other customers came in, she made sure to check on us constantly and took care of us like we were friends or family. However, my family is gluten-free. We saw that they offered gluten-free pancakes (my husband's favorite), so we chose them. Originally, the cook took a lot of extra time to get them to us, having made the wrong kind of pancakes, completely understandable (we are two people who grew up in and worked extensively in the food industry). When we got the pancakes, they were nearly raw inside! We asked for them to be remade and Sara took care of us and apologized emphatically, though it clearly wasn't her fault. We got the second attempt and it was more raw than the first!! We were concerned about getting sick, so we decided to leave them. Thankfully, we were offered a significant discount on our bill for the trouble, but we definitely don't want to go back, especially not for breakfast. Aside from the raw pancakes, everything else (including the coffee)...
