The fried calamari basket was horrible. My calamari was tough and chewy. The batter tasted burned. My fries were over cooked so much that the inside of the fries were hollow and they were super crunchy and burnt tasting. I had sweet tea to drink. It was grossly sweetened and tasted like it was old. Old like brewed the day before old. It had a dish soap kind of taste to it. My buddy ate the sausage. It was so salty he couldn’t finish them. Seasoned salt was all over them. The prices were not bad, but the quality and quantity of the food did not match the prices. My buddy’s daughter ate the cheese sticks. Ok, I was very skeptical upon walking in…I was thrown off by the overpowering air freshener smell. It was only a table of three people in the entire restaurant and that had me leery (it’s a Friday night). The cashier calmed my nerves with her politeness and willingness to answers all my of questions patiently. I waited 10 mins for my food and raced home expecting imperfection. Plot twist…IT WAS THE BOMB!!! I had a complete tastebud explosion. I ordered the Black mussels, crab leg & shrimp special, added sausage, with extra juicy mild seasoning. It was seasoned to perfection. I deducted a star for the air freshener and my corn was a little overcooked. Service and atmosphere is GREAT unlike JUICY CRAB, but they do not give accurate amounts of pounds in their seafood bags. It’s so obvious that a pound is a 1/2 pound…, 2 pounds is a pound…, etc. this happened every time I’ve purchased from them. I’ve continued to go despite knowing this because juicy crab service is horrible and yummy crab food is disgusting!
