So I went out on a date night with my husband last night & after dinner we decided to go support some friends who do bottle service to promote the clubs & also another who was doing an event to promote his business but before we tried making our way in anywhere we were stopped by Westgate Security while we were walking around taking pictures & saying hi to friends & Security said that one of the managers at Salt which we know is Christopher Wilson was telling them that we were “trespassing” and needed to be removed off the property. While we spoke with her we had a friend check his ID to see why and it said last time we were there which was 2 months ago before we took a trip to Ohio that he was “intoxicated” and was banned for 1 year. & that last time we were there my husband was not even drinking. He actually was DD for me that night and was waiting for me on the patio to finish my water so we could leave when we were approached by Chris and he asked my husband “who the f are you?” And my husband told him “what I am waiting on her to finish her water so we could leave, chill out.” And when we walked out it escalated to him trying to get my husband to come back into Salt to fight him. Mind you we have never had any negative encounters with him before so we don’t know what his problem was & we left the property after so nothing even happened. But it’s crazy someone can be “banned” at Westgate because a fresh manager starts a problem over drinking water before leaving. We have been going there and the other bars connected for YEARS way before he was ever an employee & never had any problems with any of the other managers. We actually know almost everyone else who works at the bars and some even explained what happened to the Security but Security just said they have to do what the managers tell them. It’s unfortunate he can make those decisions without another manager reviewing the situation especially when he had no reason to even come up to us that night. He really should of got written up for getting aggressive and trying to fight a customer for literally no reason. People wonder why those bars are slowly getting more and more empty on the weekends .. it’s because they have guys like that who are trespassing business away cause of their big ego. Yet a few weeks back they allowed a girl to get back in the bar next door 1 night after she attacked my cousins girlfriend who is pregnant! She didn’t get banned from anywhere yet she assaulted someone carrying a child on their property....
Read moreWould give zero stars if I could. Been here on multiple occasions on Friday and Saturday nights with friends, family, and coworkers. Spending easily $200-$500 each time on drinks. Tonight was no different. Came to celebrate multiple birthdays and after spending over $200 at the bar, a member of security came up to our table and offered us bottle service (tequila or vodka) at a nicer booth for $150, we of course said yes and picked out a booth. Upon being seated we were told that booth had been reserved by another party and we needed to move booths, understandably we did. When the server brought the check instead of it being $150 it was $200. Then after being seated at the next booth we were served a couple rounds of drinks before being told the second booth we were in had been bought out as well and we were moved back to the high top table we'd initially been sitting at before we were sold a booth and bottle service. After repeated attempts to speak with management regarding the scenario above our servers only response was that she was very sorry and it wasn't her fault. When I asked for the managers information so I could speak with them later this upcoming week I was told she couldn't do that.
Now after sitting back at our original table and being served two more rounds of drinks for our party the server is no longer coming around and has since sent other servers over to help us. When one of our party members asked about water the server told us we'd need to go to the bar for that.
Needless to say we won't be coming back. Just a fair warning: if anyone tries selling booth and bottle service at Salt Westgate it's a scam to get patrons to buy overpriced bottles with no guarantee of service.
Update: The booth next to the second booth we were seated at was also relocated because their booth was bought out above what they were sold it for. So again, services paid for are not...
Read moreI only gave 2 stars because I felt bad for giving 1. Honestly everything that could go wrong absolutely did. Our server was kind and unfortunately had to deal with some things that were out of her control, but also there were opportunities that she let slip as well.
Upon being seated we asked for a Happy Hour menu and were told (at 6:15pm) that HH was over. We told the server that the website had HH listed from 3-7 and she said the manager said that was wrong. When we showed it to her, the manager caved on HH drink specials vs honoring what was listed.
We ordered Cadillac Margaritas with salt on the rim. Got margaritas no salt. Ordered another round and the drinks themselves were salty. Ordered beef and chicken taquitos and couldn't tell the difference between the 2 proteins. Another server came to the table to ask what we thought. When we told her that she said, "yeah there's a new recipe and I haven't been able to tell the difference either." 😳
Next round of margaritas we asked for no salt (since the last round was salty) and got margaritas with salted rims.
For dinner we ordered shrimp tacos (that came with rice and beans) and beef tacos without rice and beans. Our ordered was keyed in (see receipt) and brought out in the opposite manner, so we had to rearrange our food between both plates.
We used the QR code menu (on every table) to look for more drink options and were told that the menu there was now updated buy those hard copy menus had already been removed from the table. We had to ask for them again because the drinks we were ordering from the electronic menu apparently were no longer being served.
We tried our hand at dessert and were brought our church donuts without any dipping sauce (listed on menu) and when we decided to just the the remainder home...the to go box was smashed so it wouldn't stay closed.
Needless to say, we...
