I will never return here unless under duress. I got a coupon in mail for a BOGO gift card to use for food and/or alcohol here. When purchasing the gift card with a credit card - because they don't use nor deal with cash - I was charged $14, instead of only $10, because a tip is automatically added to that. Bar staff is supposed to tell people of this beforehand, but upon witnessing a lady next to me questioning the $14 and remembering my own transaction, neither of 2 different bartenders told us of any tip added beforehand - no verbal warning given. So that's a really screwy thing going on. I'm sure lots of people haven't noticed this, so M&M is getting away with it. I ordered a pint of Station 26 beer, which cost me a whopping $9.76! I asked why a pint of beer is nearly $10, she said maybe because they have to ship it far? Station 26 Brewery is only 20 miles away, folks. No, this insanely high cost is not due to shipping. So, one gift card was good for only one beer. My other $10 gift card was used on chips and salsa and 2 tacos - which were good. I told the cook at Mexican place here that I will not return here, and he seemed to totally understand how screwy everything is. He said they were redoing how things are done. I told bartender lady that I'd be giving only one star on review. As soon as I got out the door, I could see her running to gossip with other bartender, who was drinking at the bar, and tell her what I said. I could clearly hear the 2 bartenders and another cook standing at the bar cursing, f bombing in their convo - I'm no saint, but this is unprofessional to let customers see and hear this. Not accepting cash is screwy, charging extortionist prices for LOCAL beer is screwy, charging $4 automatically on gift cards is screwy, barstaff being unprofessional is screwy - hence their well deserved and my freely given one star review.

WEDDING CATERING: We love Morris and Mae so it was natural for us to want to include them in our wedding weekend. Since we were getting married in the mountains, we couldn't plan our event with them and were disappointed. We asked them if it was possible to organize a to go catering service. They'd never done anything like it before, but agreed without hesitation, listening to us and adapting to our vision. They prepared a completely incredible taco bar for us, explained how to preserve it, prepared the items so we could transport them easily. the whole thing was so easy, ready on time and SO AFFORDABLE, BY FAAAAARRRR the most affordable service we've found. Now about the quality of the food; INCREDIBLE. We had picky guests and, honestly very snobby, and they couldn't stop talking about how delicious the food was. We had beef pork and mushrooms, tortillas and all handmade toppings. Brides and grooms: don't walk, RUN to this opportunity.

Stopped by to kill 90 minutes enroute to our next destination. What a pleasant surprise this place was! Absolutely charming atmosphere on the Saturday night we wandered in. Sat at the bar, which was pretty full, and had two fabulous mixed drinks. Bartenders were friendly, attentive and informative. The live music by Derek Hall playing in the background was the icing on the cake. I worry that this quaint place will get overcrowded once the word on the street gets out. It was definitely not very busy for how cool it is! Unfortunately we did not have time to try any of the restaurant and their food, but the selections looked yummy and the prices were all very reasonable. I would definitely come back!

We hosted our wedding welcome party at Morris and Mae, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. From start to finish, the staff was incredibly friendly, accommodating, and genuinely invested in making our event special. As the bride-to-be, I felt completely taken care of the entire time — they made everything seamless so we could truly enjoy the night.

The space itself is super cool and comfortable, with plenty of room for our large group (including several kids!). It felt welcoming and fun, and we got SO many compliments from our guests about how much they loved the vibe and the atmosphere.

One huge plus: Morris and Mae helped us coordinate a food truck, which was a big hit. Everything was reasonably priced, and for the level of service and quality of the space, it was an incredible value.

Truly such nice people and an amazing place to host any kind of gathering or celebration. We can't recommend them...
