Happy hour on the weekends! Upstate is doing good making its happy hour available even on the weekend. The deal is $12 for 6 oysters and 2 beers. They have a decent draft selection and some really fresh oysters. However your oyster selections are limited for the happy hour menu but they are still great. Definitely start your meal with a dozen oysters.

As for the food: Crab cakes: large amounts of crab and not as much filler which is great. The cakes are perfectly cooked and they are on the sweet side. It's served on a bed of arugula and topped with a honey habanero sauce. Flavors were great

Soft shell crab: crab was extremely fresh and it's in high demand Bc we got the last crab at 7 pm when the place opens at 5! The crab it self was great served with the siracha butter but the cornmeal crust made it less appetizing for me. It became too mealy and when you dear corn meal it can burn pretty quick and the burnt bits did not taste so great.

Scallops over brown rice risotto: the scallops were super fresh and seared to perfection. The mushrooms in the risotto were great but the brown rice did not bring the dish together. Making risotto with brown rice (although a healthy and unique option) is not the best idea. The risotto was very watery and the the brown rice ended up with the texture of Uncle Ben's instant rice. The flavors were on point but the choice of grain was not.

This location is horrible. I placed an online order around 7 pm to be delivered to Mary Free Bed at 9:45 pm. Apparently I mixed up the address, I put 325 wealthy st se, when the address to the hospital is 235 wealthy st se. At 10:15 my order had not arrived so I called. The male I spoke to was rude, first interrupting me to tell me my order had been for 9 pm, not 9 :45, and stated I put in the wrong address so they didn't know where to go. MFB is right around the corner from jimmy johns, they even brought free samples a few weeks ago. I then asked for a refund, and this male said he voided the transaction. I had just checked my account, the money had been taken out of my account around 7 pm, which I told the employee. He then said "uh no its pending Im sure". I then hung up on him and I will be calling his manager in the morning. Horrible...

3 times now my order has taken over an hour for delivery and I work less than 2 minutes down the street. they always forget things and never apologize. today I called asking where my order was. I was missing my meeting and needed my food so I asked where it was, the guy on the phone was extremely rude, cutting me off and lied. he said my food was out for delivery, i told him that the tracker has said that for 20 minutes and im right down the road, again he cut me off and wasn’t listening. i ended up hanging up because he was making me mad. i plan on calling back and asking for a refund because they forgot things and he was super rude. If you order for delivery from this location, plan on it taking an hour. definitely not...
