This was such a cool experience. The staff were super friendly and building our pizzas was really cool to see happen right in front of us. Our 8 year old loved watching them make the pizza, but also the dough! While we were waiting in line, the man making the dough answered all of our questions about the menu and how we were supposed to order, but also made small talk and entertained our son! We'd been watching him press the dough out on a little machine for a while, but when he noticed that our son was watching, he started throwing the dough in the air and laughing with our son. He loved it. He's been talking about going back for a couple days.
Once we'd ordered, the experience wasn't over yet either, we got to watch them put it in an open oven where we could see the flames. The woman on the register, Laikn I think, was very sweet and handled us quickly. And even after that my son loved watching the manager cut the pizzas on the table right beside the register! While my son just thought it was cool to watch, I was impressed by the involvement of the management team on the floor, it's great to see them leading by example because this lady was not only cutting the pizzas, but cooking them as well!
It was also very nice to see that they allow their staff to express themselves, this manager's hair was dyed pink, and the woman who brought us our pizza's was too! I remember being in the service industry and having to cover my hair, not dye it, not wear my piercings, and I wish I would have had such a pleasant boss that would have allowed me to be myself even when I'm on the clock.
Anyway, besides my rambling. We finally sat down and waited only a couple of minute before someone surprisingly brought our pizzas to us. It was very quick, and I thought we were going to have to come up to get our own pizzas, but they were delivered to us with napkins, and the sweet girl Sarah asked if we needed anything else. Superior service to any fast food restaraunt, but with the speed included!
Pizzas were delicious. Our son got a small cheese pizza, and as we were making it the staff kept asking if he was sure it was all he wanted, and he ended up getting 3 different kinds of cheeses! He's spoiled now for sure. Me and my husband got the Sun and Shade and the Barbecue respectively, with some additions. They were delicious! 5/5...
Read moreI always have decent service here, and my most recent experience was even better. I noticed in the past few weeks that you guys hired some new employees, and one particular person stood out to me more than the rest. A guy named Isaac had a smile on his face and was very eager to serve customers unlike some of the others. I was going to tip him, but he politely declined and explained that it was against your policy. Since coronavirus has impacted the way your restaurant is arranged, I think your policy should also be changed. I feel like employees such as Isaac who wait on tables and help in the kitchen while still having a positive attitude are underpaid. Employees like him contribute to the overall success of this chain. He should at least be given the opportunity to be tipped for HIS service. I read an article that stated that tipping was bad because it was discriminatory, but that is entirely false. Discrimination between good and bad service is necessary. That’s how an employer determines which employees need to be hired or fired. Tip sharing is ridiculous because not everyone makes the same effort to complete their tasks. Customers should feel obligated to leave tips when they are serviced as well as I was. America needs more generosity because our nation is practically falling apart at this point. If I employed Isaac, I would give him (and any worker with his attitude) a bonus if I had the authority. He has a much stronger work ethic than any of his coworkers, and that kind of positivity is the change I strive to make in the world. Thanks for bringing Pyro’s to Hattiesburg, and most importantly, for the...
Read moreI ordered through door dash, and my dasher arrived at 8:18. She messaged me to let me know they were busy so it might take a little longer to get our food. Over 30 minutes go by so I check in with her. She tells me she just got my order and that the staff was joking/playing around in the back, which was making her wait even longer for my order. When I finally got the food, it was cold. Completely cold. I do not blame the driver, she did her best to get it to me ASAP and kept me in the loop. But very disappointed with the staff’s concern for expediency. I’ve eaten here several times and usually love this place, but whoever was on the shift tonight dropped the ball. I would have a talk with these team members who worked tonight about work ethic and leaving play time for when you aren’t trying to collect a paycheck. That’s how you tarnish a good company’s reputation. Glad I have past experiences to keep me coming back, but if this was anyone’s first time eating here, they wouldn’t be back if they got what I did...
