I’d rather drive the extra 15 minutes to eat food from Kashmir in Salem. My father walked in to pick up a small order and the man sweeping completely ignored him for a few minutes. My dad had to ring the bell at the desk and even call for the man before being helped with.
Food was not good compared to other places where I’ve had the same dish many times. Lacking seasonings and chicken had a funky taste to it making my dinner hard to enjoy. The rice portion was so extremely small I was shocked the meal costed me $20! More than other places. I don’t think the rice was fresh either.
Not clean inside. I’ve done deliveries where customers told me they really enjoyed it, but I was initially hesitant when I’d go inside to pick up food and the worker was sitting in the seating area picking his feet and then went to the back and directly touched the food they were cooking.
I wish at that point I decided to avoid this place for that reason alone, but my curiosity from all the good reviews got me.

The only good thing we can say is the korma sauce tasted decent. Unfortunately, everything else was not in many ways.
Excited to have a place like this closer than kashmir. I like spice, but usually need to make sure everything is ordered MILD at most indian places or the curry really gets me. Wasn't an issue here, things were nice and flavorful but without the heat, though i'm sure they could crank that up if its your thing. Would much rather have to ask them to add heat than the have opposite and suffer. Had the tawa special pulau, was great. Just the thing when you can't decide what you want. Rice with chicken, lamb and shrimp so you get bit of everything. Really liked the different flavors of all the proteins, wasn't like they tossed them in as an afterthought, clearly made with a lot of care separately from the rest of the dish. The aloo paratha went very nicely with it. For desert i tried the GAJAR KA HALWA, didn't really know what to expect but thats part of the fun of trying new things. I have to say, my mind is BLOWN. Its AMAZING, i HIGHLY recommend it if you want something rich, creamy and sweet to top off what is sure to be...
