Came here for breakfast buffet! Great options for vegetarians! My personal favorites: Hashbrowns, crumble cake! There were many pastry options, juice, different style of eggs, pancakes, waffles, bagels etc Perfect continental breakfast! Best of all, great bay view! We got a table near the window! Enjoyed my breakfast! However, it was pretty expensive at 26$ per person! But Hilo Hawaiian Hotel residents get 5$ coupon off for buffet though everyday!

Small menu, but focused makes for a fantastic meal. The outdoor seating, paired with a phenomenal view down to the coastline of the island is a great way to cap an evening off, especially around sunset. All food is locally sourced, farm to table (from what we are told), and the quality reflects that. Worth the trip off the highway to find. Service was prompt, with great suggestions. Would gladly go back again.

Normally I would give more stars but last nights buffett was not up to par. The food was not hot and my coffee was semi warm. The service is great though, they are on it with the refills and clearing of plates. Just wish the food and coffee was hot. Desserts were good though, the Likikoi Napolean was the Bomb.

Poor service , not once where we offered a drink when I had to stop the server and ask for water it took her about 45 mins just to bring the water out while I saw all the servers delivering fancy drinks to all the other tables , but 45 mins for water that’s just ridiculous! The tables around us had ordered after us and they seemed to have ordered fancy mixed drinks and they got theirs within seconds of ordering, so unless they brought my water from Kona, there’s no reason for it to take that long. McDonald’s has better customer service than a big time hotel ! Paid over $100 for what ? Me to have to beg the server just to bring a water. Nor did they ever stop to see how we were doing and there’s no excuse for being too busy , I watched them serve every table but ours. I don’t know if it’s because we are two young adults but the service just wasn’t there and the management sucks, they should be more like kens and have a manager and staff members who actually care about the customers who are paying out of their butts. On a scale of 0-10 of me coming back is...

I have to say, it’s all about the crab legs. This casual, but very pleasant restaurant that is conveniently located in the Hilo Hawaiian is a hidden gem. The buffet was a typical assortment of well-prepared local favorites, but the crab legs were some of the best I have ever had. They were tasty, juicy, and full of meat. Well worth the mess you have to endure cracking into them. Another thing that stood out was how nice and attentive the staff were. All the staff were full of smiles and cheerful. Not what you normally get at a buffet dinner anywhere. Finally, the Passion Fruit soft serve was fantastic. It wasn’t to sweet or tart and perfectly ended the meal, but there was a very large assortment of other desserts if soft serve isn’t your thing. The price seemed high at first, but considering the quality of the food, free soft drinks, beer, wine, and coffee, along with the delightful service, it is totally worth the price and I wouldn’t hesitate to...

My family and I (3 adults & 2 babies) had breakfast here & the service is absolutely horrible. We had to ask for water & waited about 25 minutes until we got water. I watched our hostess ask the server to serve us water THREE times. Another table who came after us got water without having to ask. Eventually another server brought us water though she only brought 3 glasses of water for the adults but no water for my kids. They probably came to check on us ONE time and that was to ask if we needed ketchup/shoyu. We were not half way through eating when she brought our ticket. Mind you they were not busy at all. There was probably 6 other tables & 3 servers working on our side. The only person that actually smiled and was friendly was the hostess. We are local people who live here and I expected the service to be better then...
