Young man was really nice, got us seated and gave us water. We waited about 15-18 minutes for our waitress to finally come introduce herself and take our order. It wasn’t even that busy because we came after the rush hour. Restaurant was already out of soup and mashed potatoes for the night. Got our food — my broiled fish didn’t seem fully cooked and all of our baked potatoes were extremely dried out. Took quite a while to get our check. Our waitress made a comment to my friend about how nicely her eyebrows were done and asked if “Asians” had done them for her. I’m not impressed with the racism. I’m very disappointed in the overall experience. I had friends from out of town that came to visit Hayward this weekend. They wanted fish fry on Friday night. I thought Flat Creek would be the perfect place to showcase a fish fry in Hayward to them but that wasn’t the case. The past few months this place seems really hit or miss. This was the last straw for me, not sure I’ll be back anytime soon especially with guests from out of town. I hope that things improve.
