We used Wah Jee Wah to cater our wedding. Wah Jee Wah provided excellent service throughout the process - all the way from the tasting to the wedding day. They gave us better service than most fine dining restaurants do during the tasting. And after we finalized the menu for the wedding, we had to worry about nothing. Wah Jee Wah handled coordination with the venue (that was providing the plates, etc) and I didn't even have to get involved once.
Their food was one of the big highlights of the wedding. All of our guests told us that the food was soo good that they went back for multiple servings in the buffet. Wah Jee Wah also ensured that the quantities for all the items were enough for our guests by adding a buffer on our guest count. We had people from many different countries attend the wedding and they were able to adapt the spice levels to suit a very diverse range of palates. While we didn't have time to eat much during the wedding day, I can testify from the tasting experience that their food is one of the best Indian meals I have eaten in the country and definitely the top one in the Bay Area. We live a bit far away from Wah Jee Wah but my wife and I are already talking about driving to eat dinner there again.
Lastly, Ron and Manisha are just amazing people. They were so supportive and resourceful throughout the process - giving us advice on quantities, types of dishes that would go well in our event and were overall always reassuring us through the process and encouraging us to enjoy our special day.
Whether just to visit their restaurant for a meal or to host another event, Wah Jee Wah would be my top choice in...

The Hype
Wah Jee Wah came highly recommended, so I ventured out to see what all the buzz was about. The set-up is simple - outdoor seating only - which creates a casual and relaxed atmosphere.
First Impressions
The prices were very reasonable, making it an affordable option for a quick bite. We started with drinks - the Mango Lassi was decent, but the Masala Lime was the clear winner. Refreshing and flavorful, it was a perfect way to kick off the meal.
The Star of the Show
Our favorite dish by far was the Chole Bhature. While a bit oily, the flavor was fantastic. Be warned, it's a hearty portion, so come hungry!
Skewers: A Mixed Bag
We opted for the 1/2 Big Boy platter with 5 skewers. The chicken was undeniably tender, but lacked a bit of punch in the flavor department. The paneer tikka and lamb skewers were decent, but didn't leave a lasting impression.
Butter Chicken: Not Quite There
We also tried the Butter Chicken dish, which was just okay. It wasn't bad, but we've had better versions elsewhere.
The Verdict
Wah Jee Wah is a solid option for a casual outdoor meal. The prices are friendly and the Chole Bhature is a must-try. While the skewers were a bit of a mixed bag, the chicken was undeniably tender. If you're looking for an explosion of flavor in every bite, this might not be your top choice. However, it's definitely worth a try, especially if you're in the mood for something affordable and...
Read moreAfter coming here for the first time in mid-December, I've already been back three additional times. It's great to know there's such a fabulous new restaurant in this area, which is in need of some great eats! The space is inviting, with ample indoor and outdoor seating. Sit indoors for the chilly days or outdoors for our beautiful Bay Area weather. The outdoor area is cute and covered - I'm really looking forward to coming back when the weather is nicer.
Some good tips to note: they offer catering including some substitutions, like chicken kofta (instead of lamb). Their chai is hot and flavorful, not too creamy. The lassi is perfection - I highly recommend trying this!
Everything I've tried here, from the kebabs, kofta, butter chicken, masala, shrimp, vegetarian options, etc. - it is all delicious. I have yet to find anything on their menu that I wouldn't recommend. Along with the classic Indian comfort foods, you'll find some creative menu options as well, like the masala mac'n cheese. It's decadence surprised with it's full-bodied flavor and creamy, buttery goodness. The naan is perfection and a must get with your order. Service is impeccable.
During one of my visits, I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Ron. He's obviously passionate about his consumption creations, even referring to his cooking style, as being "without borders." As if I couldn't like this place more, I...
