UPDATE (7/7/22):
I am not sure why but the restaurant has shifted it's approach... It is not so much Thai cuisine as they are more 'pan-asian' per their menu. The entrees have a good number of indian inspired dishes but also retained some previous dishes though the are prepared differently (such as the Nom Sod). Sadly many of my favorites are gone... No more drunken fried rice, pad kee mao, tom kha, or even pad Thai.... There are so many dishes I will miss.
We tried the twice fried rice, nam sod, Sichuan noodles, and vindaloo dishes. Something to note is that chicken is now an addition charge (a little atypical but worth noting as only pork is included in the price). The twice fried rice was about mushy but the flavor was good. The n sod is definitely not the same but was good (though i prefer the original version). The Sichuan noodles were broth based but a good dish as well. Overall the dishes were good but just not as great as the original menu in my opinion. The only exception to that was the vindaloo which i found very flavorful and at a level 3 spice was the best dish i tried (good enough to bring me back).
Overall i will miss the original menu and will need a new Thai place... i don't know if we will be back as often but there are still some good dishes to try for sure.
Previous Review:
5 word summary: Best Thai in Sumner county!
Our family has been here at least 10 times in the last year and there are many reasons for that. Let's get the most important topic... The food! So far this is by far the best Thai food around Nashville. The kitchen is staffed by an older Thai woman who obviously has the skill and passion to bring what can be a complex cuisine and deliver an amazing culinary experience. The lao jerky, tom kha, garlic chicken and pad Kee mao are on our go to list and to be honest any other dish we have ordered has not disappointed. Also they have an impressive beer selection.
The service is good as well though it is by no means a large restaurant and at times when supplies are low or the kitchen is short staffed they may choose to limit the menu or their hours. Male sure you thank the chefs as they always smile and thank you for your visit.
In the end i have tried plenty of Thai restaurants and this is by far one of my favorites and the best Thai food within 30 min of...
Read moreWe have been to this restaurant a few times before, and thought that we had found our new Thai spot. That was proven horribly incorrect after experiencing the most deplorable customer service I have ever seen. The menu does not include explanations of the dishes, only a name and a price based on what meat you get in it. The manager Cherish stated what dishes came with the basil sauce when I asked, but didn't bother to explain anything else. When my order came, it was filled with noodles, and had some meat and vegetables. The kind young waitress who brought our food understood when I explained that I was looking for the dish that had rice on the side, meat vegetables and sauce. She said she would jump it to the front of the line. The manager came by to check in when my wife was almost done eating. When I explained that I had been looking for the dish with rice on the side, she rather snarkily stated she had explained the entire menu to me. This unprofessional and blatantly rude exclamation caused me to simply tell her to cancel my order. She snapped some comment off about them having already fixed it, picked up my wife's bowl (which she wasn't quite done with), and stormed off. She returned about 5 minutes later with the bill and stated that because they had wasted so much food on me, they were still charging me for one of the dishes. My wife very calmly attempted to explain to her what the issue was, but before she finished explaining, Cherish picked up the check and my card and walked away from the table, ignoring the fact that my wife was still speaking. When she returned with the card and receipts for me to sign, she said that we should take one of the dishes with us. She brought the rice dish in to go containers, however after the horrid customer service I did not trust the food. While the food is good, if Cherish is there, you better hope they get your order right. As a follow up, the owners have since made things right from this experience. The food is excellent, and the owners are...
Read moreWe so wanted this to be good. We so so so wanted this to be good. The restaurant was very busy so we did have grace for some of the delays, but…. Arancini was cold in the middle and the cheese that was in the center was hard and not melted. Appetizers came with no silverware yet, and once told about it, took another 5 mins to get some. Other tables were getting up and going towards the kitchen and getting their own silverware Ceasar salad was delicious. 3.5. Huge gap of time between appetizers and entrees. We are talking long enough for the adults to discuss asking for the check and leaving. But we didn’t. We wanted to give them a chance. My wife’s steak was over done by two levels and has ZERO seasoning. We had to wait patiently for at least 5 ro 8 mins for salt, by which time it was cold. My wife had ordered shrimp with her steak and that came after she had finished her whole meal. They were tasty. My pork ragu was stone cold when it arrived. I took one bite and never ate any more. They asked what was wrong and I I told them but no attempt of any kind was made to make it right for me. They just offered me a to-go box at the end. My son’s cavatappi was stone cold. He ate maybe two bites. My daughter and her friend devoured their spaghetti meatballs and pesto pasta. They said it was good. The girls ordered dessert and it took at least 15 or more minutes to come. My wife and (we drove separately) were all the way back in Gallatin’s before the girls got their dessert. We never asked for any refunds or discounts for any of the mishaps, and we tipped a full 22%, but I was disappointed that at least one item wasn’t comped. I can see where they can be good. And I want them to be good. Heaven knows we need non chain restaurants to succeed. Please please take this S constructive criticism and work on...
