I recently visited Indian Flames restaurant that left me with a rather disappointing experience. The overall quality of the food and the lack of hygiene standards were major concerns that overshadowed any potential positives. Sadly, this establishment failed to meet my expectations on several fronts.
Let's start with the most crucial aspect of any dining experience: the taste of the food. Regrettably, the dishes I sampled were merely average and lacked the authentic flavors I had hoped for. The flavors were bland and failed to capture the essence of Indian cuisine. It was a letdown considering the reputation Indian food holds for its rich and vibrant taste.
Moreover, my dissatisfaction with the restaurant's hygiene practices was compounded when I discovered a hair in my fried rice. This discovery was not only unappetizing but also raised significant concerns about the cleanliness and attention to detail in the kitchen. Finding foreign objects in a dish is simply unacceptable and highlights a lack of proper quality control.
Additionally, while waiting in line for my order, I witnessed an incident that further diminished my confidence in the restaurant's hygiene practices. The customer in front of me ordered samosas, and to my dismay, the lady at the billing counter handled the samosa with her bare hands, without any gloves, spoons, or tongs. This lack of basic hygiene protocols was deeply unsettling and raised serious doubts about the overall cleanliness and professionalism of the establishment.
Given the underwhelming taste of the food, the hair in my dish, and the concerning lack of hygiene practices, I cannot in good conscience recommend this Indian restaurant. The disappointing experience I had is not one I wish to repeat, and I will certainly not be returning to this establishment. If the restaurant hopes to regain customers' trust and loyalty, it must prioritize improving the quality of its food and implementing strict hygiene standards throughout its operations.
In conclusion, my visit to this restaurant was marred by average-tasting food and glaring hygiene issues. The presence of a hair in my meal and the unsanitary handling of food left me with a negative...
Read moreI usually don't leave negative remarks for businesses but this is an exception. I haven't been to a restaurant where both food and hospitality has been equally worse. Honestly I'm very surprised with the 5 star reviews here. Either they were paid reviews or the staff here treat non South Asian customers in a different manner(you know white skin is given higher superiority)The first issue I had was the attitude of the lady in the cashier(fair plump lady with gold jewelry who goes back and forth to her Benz suv every 10 minutes parked in the front) She acts if the customers are there to loot the restaurant, extremely rude with uptight behavior, no smile no greeting whatsoever. And then as a place for dining in there is no restroom inside the restaurant to wash hands. You have to go all the way to the back of the adjacent grocery store for that. And then food! This food is NOT indian food, please don't tarnish the reputation of Indian food. Please try food at Apna chat Bhavan if u don't know what Indian food should taste like. Honestly I'm truly surprised this place is still running because even when we were there it was only a very handful of customers. And no wonder! Who wants to eat abysmal food in a place with zero manners and extreme rudeness. What a disappointment and regret spending my hard earned money here....
Read moreEverything we ordered was very good. But it’s not obvious when you walk in exactly how it works if you are planning on dining in. They don’t welcome you and tell you what to do and there are no signs so it was awkward. They were not very friendly. We went to counter to order before sitting down and when we went to find a seat a small child came up to us and said “I AM SITTING THERE!”. The restaurant was completely empty so it’s not like she didn’t have choices but we moved to a different booth. They delivered the first couple of dishes but the other ones sat at the counter and we had to go get them and we had to go up and request our last two items. I guess if I had to sum it up I would say that I would use them for take-out only because the food is good. But if they want people to eat there, they should tell them how it works (Do we stay at the table? Do we go to the counter to pick up? Can we sit anywhere or is your kid going to kick us out?). I feel like the food came out in a weird order. I didn’t feel like they wanted us there, we didn’t feel welcome, even though we spent over $65. Maybe they have a preference for specific kinds of customers....
