This was my second visit to this restaurant and I am well pleased with the quality of food that is given for their price! I was stuffed like a turkey each time I visited. It surprised me to know that it's not like most seafood restaurants giving you a slice of bread or two that they actually give you garlic bread with your meal. That's different to me as being accustomed to the old traditional way. Which is a great thing because you can eat out side the box per say. Lol! Then instead of 🥗 (salad) they give you a choice of red beans and rice with 🌽 corn on the cob.I be so full that I have to literally save some for later. Who ever the cook is they do an awesome job in not trying to cheat you out your $$$ by putting a lot of batter on the schrimp just to fill you up like some other seafood places. Ohh and by the way I ordered a 3 piece catfish with 5 schrimp but I wanted more schrimp than 🎏 fish but the lady said the way they had the menu set up was how I had to order it for that price so she accommodated me by giving me an extra schrimp and taking away one of the fish. I wasn't too pleased because of the price but because of the quality of food that was given to me, How could I argue with that? Over all it's about supply and demand so for that reason it was a win win situation. Lol. That won't stop me from enjoying such a great meal. Ohh and the restroom was clean. Just needed more toilet paper. The overall restaurant was clean inside as well as the outside. Meaning no trash on the ground. Almost forgot, the cheesecake was very...
Read moreHad a chance to try them out for the first time and ordered the fried catfish po'boy with fries. The sandwich was dressed well but I wish the fried catfish had more flavor. I couldn't really taste it and it didn't help that the piece was a bit small and thin compared to the size of the sandwich. I also was not a huge fan of the roll used. The good thing is the roll did not fall apart or get terribly soggy with the sauce but the roll was a little tough. However, I have heard that good rolls are hard to find in the southwest because of the hard water so I won't hold that against them(I'm originally from the Northeast where it's easy to get good rolls). The fries were great though and they give you a lot. I wasn't expecting the fries to be as good as they were: thick but not starchy at all and crispy. The people there are very friendly and the service is great. I would go back again but try a different menu item.
Went back a second time and tried the Cajun pasta. It was excellent, definitely recommend. This place is good but they have a huge menu, you have to know...
Read moreI passed by this place several times taking my kids to the eye dr and I kept forgetting about them. But when I tell you this is a hidden gem. I stopped here on my way to get my girls, from my ex mother in law and it was her birthday so I stopped to get dinner. I was looking at the menu and the guy suggested a meal for us that would be better. The food was delicious so I told my brother about it and he tasted my shrimp fried rice, and a week later I took him. Lol and one of his running buddies is a foodie so he took him there. We picked up a menu and have decided to try everything on the menu and mark it off as we get it. I called in our second order and it was ready shortly after we got there. I should’ve known on the first visit that it was going to be great when a lady came to pick up her 100 piece fish family meals. Oh I forgot the family meal came with 25 pieces, I mixed mine with fish and shrimp, it also came with deliciously seasoned fries, garlic bread, coleslaw and red beans and rice. I’d give them 10 stars...
