Do NOT order online. TWICE in a row we went to pick up a takeout order for dinner and they "didn't see it" because "their app isn't working" so we were stuck waiting in the restaurant for food that hadn't even been started 10 minutes past the designated pick up window of 25 minutes. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

Honestly the best pho is Lotus Bistro in Costa Mesa (formerly of Newport Beach). Pho HP has a much lighter profile in comparison (not as flavorful and savory) but that can be okay once in a while just as something different. I appreciate that you can request chicken breast and specify thick or thin noodles. There's a good portion of meat, I always have extra broth leftover, and I like that it comes with cilantro in addition to basil. Also, there's a tasty ginger sauce on the side that makes it more special. It's also nice that the broth can be poured directly into the takeout container - you don't have to transfer to your own bowls at home - however you do need to heat it up. Both times (despite picking it up fresh in-person due to the above mentioned issue), the broth was cold by the time it reached home (10-15 minutes). For appetizers, the shrimp rolls are really good. We thought $14 for the chicken wings (7) was a bit much but to their credit, they were some of the best fried wings we've had - perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and meaty on the inside. Pho HP has nice food and is a very good option in Huntington Beach, but again we are less than impressed by their online (or lack...

We were looking for a new place to try some Vietnamese food and we stumbled upon Pho HP Vietnamese Kitchen on Beach Blvd. We decided to check it out and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of their dishes. The place is nice and spacious, with windows everywhere that let in natural light. The service was friendly and attentive, and they explained the menu and the specials to us. We ordered the house pho, which came with rare steak, brisket, tendon, and tripe. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The portion was generous and I enjoyed adding the fresh herbs, bean sprouts, lime, and sauces to my bowl. The meat was tender and well-seasoned. My friend ordered the garlic noodles with shrimp, which looked amazing. The noodles were tossed in a buttery garlic sauce and topped with grilled shrimp, cilantro, and peanuts. The dish was savory and satisfying, and the shrimp were plump and fresh. My friend said it was one of the best garlic noodles he ever had. We also shared an order of spring rolls, which were crispy and delicious. They were filled with pork, shrimp, vermicelli, carrots, and mushrooms, and served with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. They were a great appetizer to start our meal. We had a great experience at Pho HP Vietnamese Kitchen and we will definitely come back to try more of their dishes. They have a new way to eat pho that involves dipping the meat in a hot pot of broth, which was...

The service & food was horrible. When my husbands food came out, it came in a separate small bowl with a flame & raw meat on the side, along with the actual pho bowl. The waitress just set it down on the table without saying a word & left quickly after that. Me or my husband have never seen this before & we’re confused. It was just awkward & no one explained to us what to do.

When I got my meal (I got the pho brisket) it literally smelled & tasted like feet. My husband tasted the meat & he even spit it out. It was absolutely disgusting. My husbands pho was actually good (P3) & I wanted to see if I can switch my order after that.

It took forever to get someone’s attention & no one checked on us the entire time. By the time my husband was done eating, I haven’t eaten & still no service.

We were just sitting there waiting for someone to bring us the bill until my husband got up and got someone to bring it & they go “oh you pay up front”. Horrible communication from start to finish.

When we got up to go pay, we told them about our experience and that the dinner that I got didn’t taste right and nobody checked on us. The waiter just said “oh” and we still ended up paying for it. Didn’t even care or try to make it right. We will never...

The vegetarian pho is pretty good: about $15 for a medium-large bowl with small amount of tofu and veggies and a medium-light rich broth. The $10 off wings and fillet mignon cubes was a great deal. The wings were crispy and heavily seasoned with garlic - very delicious. I tried it with the crazy spicy sauce, and it's not joke. I think it has thai chili peppers in it because it's crazy spicy. The fillet mignon cubes were fantastic, but the noodles are heavy with butter, garlic, and parmesan, and the flavors didn't match in my opinion. The fries served with the fillet was slightly crispy and slightly soggy, but still yummy, but again, the flavors didn't match at all. The plate was kind of weird to me as a whole, but each part was very good on its own. The staff was friendly and there's ample parking. I would be down to try their interesting food again.
