Quick Summary Good service but pretty average food. The premium items were better than expected, but disappointed by their smaller entrees. They are one of the few dining spots that are dog friendly (but with their outdoor patio). Food- 3.5 stars wild mushroom baked brie- this was decent. Nothing special but still tasty Ribeye- this was the best dish of the night. Certified angus beef that was very juicy and perfectly cooked and seasoned pork chop- this was pretty solid as well black garlic pasta- this was just okay. I wouldn't order it again ultimate tahoe burger- this was pretty mediocre. The ground beef didn't taste seasoned at all. I get that it can be salty with the brie and bacon on the burger, but the ground beef was so flat that it made the burger taste very mediocre burrata sliders- similar to the burger. Burger patties weren't seasoned well enough Service- 4.5 stars Our server was excellent throughout. Minus half a star because our host didn't help us with moving tables in the patio to seat our group, or give us a new dog bowl Bottom Line Decent food. Would recommend the pork chop or ribeye. One of the few dining spots that allow pets on their patio

So I did not have high hopes based on reviews for food and price, but this place was SO good! I had the lobster deviled eggs. They were delicious. It’s $20 something for 4, but they were worth it. They were so good. Then I had the sliders, my partner had the cauliflower steak, my brother had the burger, and my brother’s wife had the shrimp pasta special that came with a salad appetizer(we actually didn’t get it 😅) and a dessert, a tres leches cake that was actually divine. Everyone loved their meals and drinks though, I think the only complaint was the Mac and cheese, which my brother and I received for the house sides. It wasn’t seasoned at all 😭 but the cheese was still good lol and we finished both. We’ll definitely be back. The drinks were amazing, the food was delicious, and our server was superb. It is a lot, I won’t lie, one of my drinks was $20 alone, but we come and vacation once a year in Tahoe and so save for it so it wasn’t that bad to us. Definitely recommend.

Professional wait staff here, very attentive, especially Hal-e(?), whom I kinda have a crush on and if she reads this, hi, call me. Hopefully I'm welcomed back after a minor outburst recently about how much I liked the place, because the food and drinks are so good. Jan has some impressive artisan bar maiden(?) skills. I cant really get into it too much further at risk of being overly verbose, other than to say the Impossible Burger is my new favorite, tacos are a good choice too. The French toast croissant is a good morning choice. I suggest going there when its is windy, they are popular and get busy, less busy when windy for some reason. Or if you must, when it isnt at all windy.

(updates to review below)

TLDR: Had a very bad experience, ownership reached out to me and fully explained/apologized.

(Original review 7/22/18) TERRIBLE SERVICE!

We just cancelled our order after waiting over an hour and a half.

Originally called and was told 35mins, called back after an hour and they said "they were busy due to rain" and said our food would be there in 20-25mins. 30more minutes passed and I called and was told the food was still in the oven.

I asked why we were told 25mins if they we'rent even close to having our food done. They told me "sorry it's hard to tell how long this takes". I'm sorry, but that's maybe an acceptable response if you're a brand new shop, but apparently they've been here for over 10 years. Completely unacceptable!

They offered us a whopping 20% off and we cancelled right there. Never going to recommend this place to anyone I know, nor will we or our family in Incline give them our business ever again.

To top it off, the guy I spoke with didn't really seem to care about the customers, when I told them we were cancelling they responded "ok, later" and immediately hung up the phone on me. Beyond unprofessional.

Completely unacceptable service and poor customer service. thanks

Update

They just showed up and gave us the food for free. They apologized for the issues and explained the matter. Apparently Austin's across the street has closed and they were bombarded with their customers. I can understand that, but they could have at least explained/handled the situation over the phone a lot better.

Update 2

Just spoke with one of the owners, they definitely showed sincerity and want to make sure they put out a great service/experience. I was fully brought up to speed with the whole situation and that they are actually going to have a meeting with staff to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Overall the food was very good, would highly recommend the goat cheese salad. Knowing that the establishment cares this much about it's customers and that I only had a bad egg is reassuring.

Updating my review from 1 star to 4. (Want to leave full review just to show that you could have a bad experience but the owners...

My family and I picked this place to have a brunch to celebrate my birthday. We were there this weekend for Labor Day and wanted to have a good time. Since the beginning the server we got his name (Dule) was not very friendly. It seemed like every time we asked for something he would get annoyed and became more i frigates and rude until we said something and at that point instead of accepting his bad customer service he started to argue back. The other part of our family sat after us and order after us yet received the food first. Their waitress often came to check on them to see how they were while Dule didn’t bother to ask or check on our food. The point being he was extremely rude and ruined our morning breakfast experience. The worst is he intentionally added a gratuity of $20 percent for our table of 5 people …. This being $40 in tips. The upsetting part is he did this because he knew he had provided the worst service and knew we wouldn’t leave a tip like that. Our other half of the party didn’t have that included in their bill they left what they wish to leave for their server. Today we tried calling the place to ask for a manager and he keeps answering the calls to try and avoid getting in trouble. 0 stars for this servers...
