Rolled into Big Woods on a Saturday like a hungry mall warrior in search of flavor and maybe a little peace before the shopping storm. The server greeted me like I was the guest of honor at a chipotle-themed gala—super nice, super attentive, and didn’t even flinch when I asked if the Six Foot Blond came with a ladder 😄🍻

Ordered the fish tacos and that legendary Six Foot Blond beer. Let me tell you—those tacos were chef’s kiss 💋🔥. Just the right amount of chipotle sauce to make you feel alive but not cry in public. And the beer? Smooth, golden, and clearly brewed by angels who understand taco synergy.

The vibe? Fun, laid-back, and just the right amount of rustic charm to make you forget you’re next to a mall. Great service, tasty food, and now I’m off to shop with a belly full of taco joy and a buzz of blond brilliance 🛍️💃

First, let me say the bartender/server was great, and the food was good, but a disastrous encounter with another employee. How do you overcome the fiasco of removed drinks to the dirty dishes cart, then bring them back to the table! I left my table for 4 minutes or less, As I walk back to my table, someone was carrying off my beer, water, and had someone else’s dirty plate in their hands along with them. When I pointed out that I wasn’t finished with my beer or water, she promptly went back to the dirty dishes cart and put them back on my table! I was stunned. Further, she acted offended when I politely stated that I didn’t need them back, I would order some fresh from the bartender. She promptly removed them both and showed back up with a1/3 glas of beer and said “that’s how much I had left in the other glass.” Really! When you screw up, just blame the customer! And isn’t that a violation of health department standards to put dirty dishes and glasses on the dirty cart, and then return them to a...

I hate to be that person and as a server myself, usually I can understand a lot of things but this was terrible. First red flag, the server comes up to our table twice before actually taking our drink orders saying she is taking care of another table and that she has to use the bathroom but then got to us about 10 minutes later. Granted, it was a little busy when we got there but then almost the entire restaurant was gone and the service just got worse and worse. We got the food and it was terrible, literally no flavor whatsoever, and also just looked unappetizing. We also asked for lemons in our waters and she said “Sorry, I just don’t have time to go cut some.” and then proceeded to bring the next tables drinks out with lemons. That part just didn’t make sense. Anyways, it’s pretty much been a bad experience at every Hard Truth/Big Woods restaurant I’ve been to and this one was no different....
