I wanted to love Bierstube so bad. I love German food, beer and local bars. Let me emphasize our first experience here was great. Attentive server/bartender, delicious food and a good time. We stopped in again last week for some drinks before a movie and the bartender made audible rude comments about having to serve us, made my drink wrong, and refused to acknowledge us promptly. It was a Wednesday; it was not busy. We came back again to watch the game, get some food and drinks. Our server was friendly but not very attentive.. My drink was incorrect again. Our food took a little, which is no big deal. The same bartender was working and rude to my boyfriend AGAIN as well as noticeably rude to other patrons. (If you don’t want to work in the service industry, and be personable, DONT-it makes people uncomfortable). I received “silverware” that was only a knife: meaning it was reused from another table. I had an empty drink for almost 20 minute and was never asked if I wanted another. I was so hoping this would be our new spot, but as a bartender of 10 years, I was disappointed at the service and experience we received recently. Not sure if we will come back. I love the idea of this bar but they just can’t follow through with solid...
Read moreI Have been going to this place for over 20 years. Sadley to say not anymore. I usually would go for the people and atmosphere. But that has all changed thanks to the owners. They have raised their prices so high that it's not affordable to bring your family here anymore. Their food isn't that great. They used to have great food. But think they buy all their food out of bags I can get on Amazon. Least that's what it tastes like now. I don't blame the cooks. I blame the poor ownership. They got rid of all their good staff. Now they have inexperienced bartenders that struggle to make common drinks. Go in there on a Friday night during what should be happy hour and it looks like a ghost town. You use to not be able to find a seat at the bar. Oh my have times changed. Go there any night of the week and it's dead now. The only time seems to be busy is when their raffles are going on. No one wants to hang out there anymore. It's a shame used to be a fun place to hang out. Well I guess when it's poorly owned and all they care about is the money in their pocket and not the quality anymore. Save your money there are better places to hang out at....
Read moreRenee is the only waitress I trust and Alex is the only bartender I trust. There's one older guy in the kitchen that does a phenomenal job as well. Otherwise, in the short 3 years I've been frequenting this place, I have enjoyed every moment until about approximately 3 months ago. It's my understanding that its under new ownership or management or something? But the atmosphere is horrible. It's dead ALL THE TIME now. Even raffle days are so bare that they can't run the horse races because there aren't enough people to get it rolling. One of the biggest things that kept me coming back initially was that they have Truly on tap (which isn't easy to find) and now they're $8 which is truly (pun intended) insane considering they used to be $6. This price change is especially confusing because they're not providing anything extra to justify the price hike. As just an aside, the kettle chips are just Lay's.. I'm just wildly disappointed in everything it has become and I'm disheartened to think about having to find a new place that I...
