We checked in at the resort and were informed by the front desk that our dinner reservation was at 8:00 PM. They mentioned we could either go directly to the restaurant or drop off our luggage first. After settling in, we walked to the restaurant, received a message asking if we were still coming, as the last seating was at 8:00 PM. This made us feel rushed, and we were quickly seated at a table far from the window in a dimly lit area, which was disappointing. We were coming for a dinner with a view! It wasn’t until later that we realized the resort is currently in its low season and that the restaurant closes at 9:00 PM — a detail that was not updated online. Because of this miscommunication, we had to rush through our meal and completed ordering, dining, and paying within 45 minutes. We sincerely hope tomorrow’s breakfast will be better, with a seat by the window and a chance to properly enjoy the resort’s atmosphere. Still missing the favor of coconut rice! I guess I expected too much!

We made a girls' trip to the Red Mountain Resort, and we really loved the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options that came with our stay package. Breakfast was so convenient and delicious (biscuits and bacon were my favorite lol). Lunch was also delicious, and there were a lot of great meals to choose from for dinner, ranging from vegetarian, gluten free, and traditional. The restaurant also has a convenient side counter/shop with ready made meals like sandwiches when I was in between meal hours. I can't remember everything I had, but the cauliflower steak with tomatoes was SO SO YUMMY, and my steak/fries and salmon/lentils were tasty. Don't pass up the brownie! You'd never miss the gluten in it... Yes, the brownie is THAT GOOD. Also, the cauliflower appetizer is definitely worth it but beware the peppers have a kick to them. And, the outside patio is really pretty and peaceful.

Awesome experience here last weekend. At first glance the menu prices seem a little pricey, but after we ordered the Salmon... we quickly realized that it was well worth the price. Very fresh and delicious. We also had amazing customer service with our server Lake who after noticing our tired toddler made these 2 origami animals (dragon and frog) for my son, who was super excited about them. This level of service went above and beyond what was expected, and for this reason I will definitely be returning. Not to mention the setting is spectacular surrounded by the Red Rock.

such a disappointing experience šŸ˜” our server was inattentive, dismissive, unhelpful, and had very little menu knowledge. I wanted to get the cauliflower korma and asked the server if it was vegan. he said he didn't know and I had to prompt him to check with the kitchen. he quickly asked me if it's not vegan what my second choice would be, kinda put me on the spot, but I said the Thai salad. he never came back with an answer from the kitchen or any sort of explanation, but when our food was dropped (by some other employee), I got the Thai salad, so I guess the cauliflower korma is not vegan? šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™€ļø the salad was boring and so overpriced for how simple and small and unimaginative it was. the grilled tofu was entirely unseasoned, cold, tasteless, sad 😢

my 5 year old asked for the pepperoni pizza from the kids menu. what came was a dense and flavorless flatbread/pita thing with tomato sauce and four big slices of mozzarella that had solidified by the time our food made it to our table. no pepperoni. not even an actual pizza crust? we asked the server about the pepperoni, since that's the main part my son wanted. he was dismissive and made an excuse about how "there's only one pizza button" when putting the order in. we asked if he could check with the kitchen and get us some pepperoni. much later, he came back and said they don't have any and the menu was out of date. no other options or compensations were offered. we had to order my son food from a drive thru on our way home.

we came for our anniversary, which we stated in our reservation notes, but it wasn't acknowledged by anyone until we brought it up to Lake, the backserver (Lake was amazing and deserves all the stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) who told us they offer a free dessert for anniversaries and brought a menu. when our server returned, we asked about the anniversary dessert and he said it's not something they typically do but he would "make it happen" for us šŸ™„ evidently trying to make up for his awful service by making us think he was doing us a favor. the dessert came out with a candle so clearly it's a thing they do lol.

we rarely treat ourselves to a nice dinner out and it was sad to have wasted so much money on an awful experience.

Lake brought my son a really cool origami dragon at the end of our meal. give...

The food is mostly pretty good and tastes fresh over all but is slightly overpriced. Cocktails could be a little better. There’s definitely room for improvement.

For one, their online menu is inaccurate, so don’t trust what it says. The website doesn’t even show a breakfast/lunch menu even though they serve both of those meals. That’s just confusing.

I stayed at the resort for the weekend and ate here a few times. The last night (new years Eve) they held a party at the restaurant from 9-12. They advertised it as a party with live music, a champagne toast, and a ā€œtantalizing array of sweet and savory bites crafted by Chef Gil Peterson.ā€ The event was $40 per person.

My fiancĆ© and I decided to check it out for a bit. We saw that the live music was a single person singing cover songs with a keyboard taking frequent breaks and repeating songs. The champagne toast (1 glass per person) was served at 10 pm for some reason. The vibe was pretty dead and incredibly awkward with just a few other small groups of people in attendance. The employees seemed confused. The ā€œtantalizing array of sweet and savory bites crafted by Chef Gil Petersonā€ consisted of: a bowl of potato chips, some trail mix, and tiny little grocery store quality cakes. You’re telling me this was put together by a chef and is worth $40?? The party was so disappointing we left before midnight, as did most other people.

If I stay at red mountain resort again, I’d probably eat at the restaurant and just not order any drinks or attend any of their events ever again.

I hope y’all actually read this and understand just how abysmal that ā€œpartyā€ was, and to charge $40 for it is just insulting. Bring back the Sunday brunch buffet and please never do that...

My wife and I ate here for our first time today (June 11, 2023), and we were a little disappointed. We had a reservation and were seated quickly, and our server brought us out a few small slices of bread, which was nice. However, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they took an incredibly long time for the food to make it out to us. And, unfortunately, it wasn't worth the wait. I ordered the steak ($32), and my wife ordered a vegetarian pasta dish. The steak was overcooked, dry, and cold, and my wife's dish lacked almost any flavor at all. We also ordered the prickly pear margarita, and it was very bitter. The saving grace for the place is that our server was very kind and offered to replace my steak with something different, which I took him up on. I got the shrimp scampi pasta instead, and it was actually very good.

The location is nice, and we sat outside with an evening view of the red mountain. We enjoyed that.

However, another negative for this place is that they charged us a 15% "service charge", and didn't explain what that was or why it was being charged. I still tipped our waiter because I didn't know if the service charge was going to him, or just to the restaurant in general. It's a very poor practice on the restaurant's behalf, and it leaves a bad taste in the mouths of their guests just as they are preparing to leave.

Overall, a 3 for the location...
