Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Jacksonville

The first time I ate here which was not long after they opened this location, I ordered through the app and then waited and waited in the parking spots. I finally drove up to the window where they had my bag and handed to me. The food was great then so I wasn't mad! Fast forward to a few weeks after that, I went on a Saturday night 1 hour and 20 minutes before they closed. I usually don't like going to restaurants in the last hour because I know they are getting ready to close but decided to go anyways. When I walked in, I had to get their attention as it felt like they were purposely ignoring me... then when I ordered they asked dine in or carry out, so I said dine in. Thought I was in the clear, well then I waited about 20 minutes for my food and had to go up there and ask (which I hate doing) . When I did that they were like yeah we got it right here. My fries were missing and so I had to go back up there and ask for them, which they responded no your fries are all there. So I just didn't even argue and just went with it because they were clearly not there. Okayyy... so then after all that time you would think it would be fresh food. No. The sandwhich and the strips tasted like it had been on the burner alll dayyy long and was COLD. I could feel that us being there just made them irritated. So I asked them what time they close, their response was yeah we closed in door 30 minutes ago. Mind you I was only there for about that long. So, why didn't they inform me as I walked in? Needless to say, I refuse to go back. Jacksonville fast food overall is the reason I save so much money, because it is just about all terrible. These were not kids working, these were adults. I love slims at other locations but this...

This is coming from an ex employee and I have to say it is very clean and organized it's just the people I wouldn't recommend eating the food past 8 because it's all going to be old but there are some bright side to the job mis.misty I love that lady she is nice all though she cut my hours knowing my situation but mis.misty is very respectful nice a completely honest but we the other managers have there days there a manger ikeia or however you spell it she shows u that anybody can be the manger there been multiple time I seen her come in to work not being able to walk straight because she was under the influence of something now Ree was very cool she just wanted u to be done with your job by 11 witch is completely understandable now Carmen has got a bad review before and they said she is the down fall of slim chicken and they weren't lying she is so rude treat everybody like there just nothing and makes coming to work a HELL but because I put my two weeks notice in because they gave me two days on the schedule so I put my 2 weeks in and they took me off the schedule for next week seem like it would've been better for me to just quit witch is very unprofessional I would not recommend work there in less u want to criticized...

I went pretty basic with this order and order the tenders and fries, I have not eaten there before, so I thought I would play it safe. The tenders are pretty good, it tastes like a standard tender. They are not dry at all, and not too wet either, I ordered it with Ranch and the ranch thing is was basically the same as many other retailer ranches like they use in red Robin, so pretty good Ranch choice. The fries were OK nice and crispy, not too salty, seasoned very well. It also came with a slice of Texas toast cut in half down the middle, I’m not sure why chicken places have the chicken tenders come with a slice of Texas toast, I’m not familiar with this, but no complaints here it was very nicely toasted and you can taste the butter. So is it any good? Yes it is good for what it is, although the flavors are basically basic. I’d write this a four out of five stars. I’ll definitely be going back to try some...
