Visited 7-20-24. Now I'm in an electric wheelchair and trying to get through the front door was nearly impossible. I had to ask a passerby to open the front door for me.
I got in but was confronted with another door. I tried to open this door to call out to anyone who was working there. They were all somewhere but not at their stations were they should have been. I waited and finally another customer came in. Then the staff came out.
This place has gone down the tubes in terms of service. I'm going to have second thoughts about ever eating here again.
Regarding the food, the sauce has been watered down to the point that it's nearly runny.
It's a real shame because this used to be one of the better restaurants in the area.
Older reviews:
Great food that's really fresh. That's what I said about this restaurant about 3 months ago. I wasn't really sure about the restaurant because sometimes it really is the case that when a restaurant first opens, that's the time you'll have the freshest food to eat.
This place is different because their food is always fresh and surpasses other competitors that are close by.
Historically this restaurant started in a storefront that was about 3 storefronts from the corner. It was called George's. It was owned by a Greek gentleman who served Greek and American food. Timeframe was 1959 or there about.
As the years passed and the business grew, George realized he needed to expand. He bought the two adjacent stores west of his original place and then renamed the restaurant George's Starlight Restaurant.
A few years later George sold the Restaurant to another family where it remained under guidance until about 1 to 1 1/2 years ago.
After all those years the restaurant has turned into a great food place that once you try it, it will be so captivating to your pellet, that you'll just have to come back. And return often.
The gentleman in charge is Padquale. One of the ladies that works the front area is named Cristina. Both these people are absolutely great and love to help people.
I hope you...
Read moreI’ve never really had issues with the quality of the food here but the experience I had this past Sunday was terrible... I placed an order online like I usually do and at the moment I put in my payment info the website just collapse therefore I wasn’t sure if my order went through. I automatically get a message from my bank stating the payment was deducted from my account. I still decided to call the restaurant the person who answer the phone transferred me to “the manager” because she said she didn’t have my order & I told her my payment was taken the “ manager” said oh you have to go to the website & verify the order I said how if your website is acting up she said oh there’s nothing I can do about it like what?! So I decide to go in & show the payment & all I ask to speak to the manager they said that there’s no possible way I talked to the manager because the manager wasn’t even in they insisted I called the wrong location I show my calls on my phone instead of accepting the fact that I called THAT location they stay quite the manager finally arrives & again not even apologizing but kept insisting I was making things up when I had the payment & call registered he says he can’t even give me a refund that I have to contact my bank just terrible way to handle a situation like this because I myself work in the restaurant industry & I would of handle the situation way...
Read moreAfter hearing nothing but good things about this location my wife and I decided to try it out , My wife suffers from a speech impediment which only gets worse as she gets stressed. After getting off work we went to Sbarro to find it was packed the wait wasn’t that long for us as everyone in-front of us was doing carry out orders. Once it was our turn to order the young lady in the front whos name tag read Alondra was rude, She huffed and rolled her eyes when my wife took a while to say her order asking her to repeat it twice in the middle of my wife attempting to say it. I decided at that point to order the food myself seeing my wife get embarrassed by the way alondra was handling the situation. The employee muttered under her breath something about the long line behind us, when I asked if she said something to us she said “I just said there’s a long line.” In a very arrogant tone. I’ve heard great things about this place but my experience was nothing like that, I’m very disappointed by the customer service this...
