Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Kannapolis

If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I absolutely would. This is not the first bad experience I’ve had at this location but it sure is going to be the last because I’m not going back. I went through the drive-through around 2 PM today and was immediately met with attitude when I asked for the big box with nuggets, they only had four signs plastered across the building for the special. I immediately got my head bitten off by whoever it was on the intercom about how they were not offering that. I mentioned that “OK well you still have signs that you are but either way I’ll just get a nugget meal”, and at this point a woman came over the intercom, interrupting the first person I was speaking to with an extreme attitude and said yes, I was correct that the signs were still up but no I couldn’t have it. Just very blunt and ugly honestly. I order my nugget meal I get to the window. The woman at the window will not make eye contact with me. She is too busy having a full-blown conversation that has nothing to do with her job with her coworker, and just absolutely utterly ignoring my existence. She almost dropped my card because she couldn’t pay attention to what she was doing. She almost spilled my tea on me because she couldn’t take the two seconds to look at me and stop her conversation. And when I asked her for the dipping sauce that I wanted with my nuggets, she barked at me, quite literally like a damn dog “TWENTY SEVEN CENT”. So I repeated myself and she again screamed at me “TWENTY SEVEN CENT!”. Which I responded and screamed back “ YOURE CHARGING ME FOR SAUCE WITH MY NUGGET MEAL!?” and at this point, she just threw the sauce that I wanted in the bag and basically threw the bag into my car.

And icing on the cake y’all THEY WERE BURNT like break your teeth burnt. And the tea SOURED! This wasn’t even worth the abuse from your poorly trained staff popeyes. This is the worst customer service I have ever received threw a drive threw... And I am not one to leave reviews. But I had not one, not two, BUT THREE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES CATCH AN ATTITUDE WITH ME. That is disgustingly inappropriate of your employees. Extremely disrespectful. AND ITS SHAMEFUL!

Popeye's Chicken, & Their Tenders Have Always Been One of My Favorites,as well as their Mild Spicy chicken Flavors for Years!!..it's Great to See a Franchise Team up with Popeye's and bring them up at Least around The Concord/Kannapolis Area,Even though it seems they have their Employee issues on a fairly regular basis,with some Employees.. I can understand that, and I would say at both places I don't know what their deal is, maybe they're just hiring the Not So Concerned about doing a good job with public relations type People that'll work sometimes,but don't really care about working and doing a really good job,and I am Not Talking About All of the Employees, some do their job,and do it well... it's just those few,that the public sometimes has to deal with directly at the Counter/Window in some cases.. I don't know, Hopefully,they'll get,or have gotten some good people working for them,and the franchise will Continue to move more locations up Northward toward the Salisbury area,etc.! ... Anyways..Popeye's "mild & Spicy"Chicken,Along with their Red Beans & Rice, Mashed Potatoes & Cajun gravy,corn on the cob are another of my favorites!... BUT!... You Should Always Remember.. like in My Case at the "ToGo window".. if you're getting it to go..as I Found Out The Hard Way Once i Got Home.. Over 15-17 Miles Away!... i Didn't get Everything I Paid For.. My Order Was All Screwed Up!.. So I Called Them the Next Day,& Was Told They Couldnt Just Ajust the Card Charge for the missing food.. But if i wanted to Bring My Receipt Back, They'd Fix the Problem.. That Was Good.. But..15-17 Miles One-Way with Gas around $4 a GALLON!.. Well .. I Found A Few Other Reasons to Go Back Over that Way,Which Made it More Acceptable/Reasonable... & SO... Popeye's Made it Right!!!..No...

Came in to exchange two pieces of chicken. The chicken was purchased an hour prior and I was just getting back to this area as my child had a Dr appointment. I come in there was a man standing at the counter. He greeted me and as I’m explaining a causian lady come out like a super hero face all frowned upon. She say I can something (i failed to catch what she was saying her look on her threw me off) she went on to say she was a Manager while pointing at her chest she can make the determination then after I showed her the chicken that hadn’t been eaten 3 pieces out of 4. She then says that she has to go check cause she doesn’t know cause I didn’t have the receipt. Then a black lady comes out and accises me of not getting chicken from there or it wasn’t today. Saying let me check the receipts from earlier. I mean just really acting as if I’m trying to get something for free all I was requesting was the same piece of chicken. First I was told its just slimey like that to I didnt get it there to itvwas not today to I didn’t get it there at all. The black lady started yelling acting crazy accising me of coming in with attitude. I recorded the whole thing little do they know. I asked how do I have a attitude and you are the only one yelling. I asked for my bag back cause at this point it’s an insult to ones integrity. She then handed me the new pieces pf chicken like she did me a favor and gave me a thigh instead of a breast. I dont eat thighs so my money waisted. They have a 2 star and I see why. Maybe the guy was the lady bf Idk or care . I will never come here again.
