So I came in today literally not busy at all just one person in line Iām thinking okay no line maybe the employees will not be too stressed and in a good mood. I proceed to order a foot long everything seems fine besides the older lady that made my sandwich. She kept looking me up and down, side eye never once smiled and was short with me. Like she had a chip on her shoulder, I was extremely nice saying please and thank you with every question that she asked about my sub. I proceed to tell her all the veggies I wanted on it and mind you I had to tell her three times what I wanted on it ! Mostly because she was gabbing away with a man that Iām assuming was her regular because of the conversation they were holding. Which didnāt bother me what I did mind was she seemed annoyed at me for interrupting Her conversation when she was in the middle of making My sandwich, the audacity! Also I asked a question about the rewards program on the subway app and she snapped saying she didnāt know anything about that. Mind you throughout this whole ordeal Iām being polite saying please and thank you being the bigger person. But she was terrible! On top of all that three boys came in Iām assuming her kids and she was giving away free drinks like what ?! Abusing the system, unaccounted food cost so owners thatās where missing cost is going. She didnāt offer a bag when their bags are included with your purchase! No napkins when I know for a fact itās 2 napkins with a foot long which is what I bought. And as Iām walking out the door she asked the guy behind me would you like a bag, and he walks out with like a handful of napkins! He quickly finished with the first person and moved on to the second. During the sandwich making process, there seemed to be a communication problem between the customer and employee. While the employee was trying to figure out what the customer wanted, he was only getting a phone shown to him or a finger pointed at the menu board. This went on for a while until it was figured out, and the sandwich was completed and paid for. When it was my turn, my sandwich was made with no guys made about the previous customer, just like it never happened. He was overwhelmed and had no help from a higher up. It took closer to 40 minutes for me to get 5 sandwiches made. He was running out of supplies and trying to bake bread, all while taking orders by himself. Several times he tried to call his Manager while I was there and the Manager never answered or tried to call him back. There was a line of people waiting and several who just left, not willing to wait. Don't blame them. It was painful to see this kid trying to figure it out on his own. He did the best he could.
