I apologize about this long review but there are so many things to complain about! I love a good bbq place and was pretty excited when stumbling across this place while on vacation. Me and my family sat down and were kind of surprised by the very high prices but I figured it was just because this place is in a tourist area. I went ahead and ordered a pulled pork sandwich with a side of coleslaw along with a Dr Pepper. The drink was so small for 3$ as it only took 5 sips to drain and I had to ask atleast 3 times to get a refill because the owner kept forgetting. The worst part of this place is that EVERYTHING is microwaved right in front of you!! I figured for a 14$ sandwich it would be quality food but as soon as I saw the frozen tube thrown into the microwave and squeezed out of the tube onto a bun I felt sick to my stomach. the pork was very dry, room temperature, and flavorless. The only way you can get any flavor is to drown the food with bbq sauce. And lastly the coleslaw had absolutely no flavor to it not even the sauce on it had any flavor plus it was very soggy. And to top the whole experience off a woman in the table behind us started choking on a piece of bone in her sandwich which was only made worse by the owner begging her not to make a “big deal” out of it and it’s a “normal thing” that happens at most places. I am very disappointed with this place and highly discourage people from wasting...
Read moreI looked up this place so that I could leave a review about our wonderful experience and I have to be honest I'm really caught off guard by the negative reviews I'm reading. Our experience was fantastic. We were traveling with two young children, and this was one of the few restaurants that treated them well. There was a gentleman working there from Texas, and he took the time to come over to our table and talk to them and answer their questions about the area, and other random questions that only a six and eight year old can come up with. They had a children's menu which was extremely affordable and provided options that you can't find at other restaurants. There were so many things on the regular menu that sounded good that I had a hard time deciding. Everything tasted so good, my husband and I debated ordering some stuff to go, but we were traveling and we weren't sure if we would get it refrigerated in time. I'm very surprised by the people who are saying this is overpriced. We had four meals, two of which were quite large, and four drinks, and it came to about 50 bucks which for the portions, quality, and location, seemed pretty fair. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the view was fantastic. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely be...
Read moreLet's start off with the place. The tables were crooked and a bit dirty, and the seats weren't as comfortable as in mind. The lady was OK, but could've been more friendliet. I was there with my family and we ordered to go, instead. When we got it, it looked very unprofessional. Utensils and napkins in Ziploc bags, sides in foam cups with plastic on top, and then it comes to the food. My family and I ordered BBQ chicken and it was absolutely terrible! Chicken was dry, cold, and tasteless, unless you want to try smoke. There wasn't even any BBQ to it! We also got the ribs, same thing as the chicken, but add burnt! Only good thing there is the store-bought potatoes and beans. Oh, and the "homemade" fries. Don't even need to talk about it. Don't get it. Prices aren't...
