So we arrived at 10:46 am we're seating and greeted by waitress who took our drink order and brought drinks quickly. From this point on there were no refills with out hounding someone. Granted the restaurant was fairly busy but still no reason for us to wait over 50 minutes for breakfast. We don't go out often and my husband is almost 60 and works 14 hour days so being left to fend on our own for drinks and waiting 50 plus minutes for a sub par breakfast to the tune of over 70 bucks tended to set him off as both of us have worked in kitchens and as wait staff we do understand the trials of this. The kitchen was barely functioning which was hindering service. But still in all when I asked that my girls ojs be refilled free as we had waited for out food for 50 plus minutes and they had nothing to drink now the waitress informed me that there would be a charge. I said never mind bring me a water and a dr pepper. The waitress was apologetic but I think that was in her defense. The 2 coffee refills my husband got were only refilled after asking not to mention when she brought the coffee he asked for a spoon to stir it and 30 minutes later when I flagged down another woman for coffee I then got some one to bring a spoon. When the food finally started to arrived after I watch most of it sit under the heat lamps for a good ten minutes we still had no silverware and had to ask for it. Not even mentioning the 13 $ omelet that was the size of an adolescent fist. This was a shame and the biggest waste of my husband hard earned money. In the time we waited and were ignored I could have literally gone to the store shopped for everything we had and drove home and cooked it all.. we will not be back up until now I have been real happy with huddle house but today you lost customers.
P.s. I did tip but my husband wouldn't have and it would have been triple the amount if she had only attempted to act like...

I recently had an experience with a waitress named Diamond also in Kilgore, TX. She was not rude but just didn't appear to be very approachable or friendly (as she didn't smile) . I called in an order but when I got there I changed my mind and decided to eat in. I was met by one waitress first and informed her. I told her I wanted to leave my food in the to-go container. The other waitress went to tell Diamond. When my food was ready Diamond brought it to my table and as she is giving it to me she tells me that they don't usually do this but she let me pass today. I responded by asking do what? She said that once you order to go, it's to go. Has anyone ever heard of this before?? When I asked her is it that I can't change my mind or is it that I can't eat my order in a to-go box in the restaurant she answered I don't know. I was not trying to cause a problem nor did I know there was a store policy that I was breaking. There was no conflict but because she answered with IDK that left me confused. 🤔 Anyone know anything about this store policy?

Read moreWell the food was not good now I don't know how many people can mess up an egg but they managed to do that the food that the other people in the party have they didn't have a problem with it it was some of the breakfast bowls, we can have a problem with this manager stormy my daughter was smoking a vape at the table nothing was said there's no signs nowhere this is the manager stormy came over and was very very rude about the vape I mean she didn't come over and say excuse me ma'am could you please put that out we don't allow it she just came over and immediately started snapping so we had to report her for them because that was not very professional there was a better way to do it and then we pay for one of their new pancakes to go so I'm like $7 or 8 dollars I don't remember how much it was then we did not get it we came home without it the last few experiences we've had there has been like this so I don't know what they can do to improve it but they do need to do something to approve it and they do need to put signs up so people know that there is no vaping at the tables are inside the restaurant.
