Latin American casual dining at it's finest. I love that the chef-owner (don't know her name) is about as friendly and welcoming as they come. Parking on the street just outside of the restaurant is super easy and free, which is a delightful change from the norm in Walnut Creek. From empanadas, pollo asado, pescado frito, lomo saltado; everything is delicious here, and portion sizes are quite generous. Expect to pay about $15-$20 per person for dinner, and $10-15 for lunch. Love the interior decor - kind of a hybrid of traditional Latin American pieces with a modern vibe, and we've never had to wait for seating. There's also pleasant outdoor patio seating for al fresco dining. Please come and support this delightful restaurant. Honestly, they deserve to have a line out the door.

There was far too much cheese in the omelet, once I removed 3/4 of the cheese it was wonderful. A lot of my potatoes were under cooked, but the ones that weren't were delicious. Loved the mango drink. Sadly they don't carry tabasco or tapatio, but the sauce they serve with almost every dish is very yummy just not spicy. It was very frustrating that the gal working the register (where you place your order) didn't speak or understand English very well, so one of the line cooks had to keep coming over to the register to answer questions and explain things to her in Spanish. The restaurant is spacious and clean, and I really like the outside seating

Walking by it, it always seemed closed. Turns out that they are only open for dinner on Thursday and Friday. So now that i visited I'll be coming back. Staff was very helpful in understanding the south american menu. Whilst the place is not a sit down place with menus, there are tables and the atmosphere is pleasant enough. Best part was that the food was delicious!!

Dissapoinment! I am on Vacations and decided to have a Latino lunch. I looked up the reviews and it seemed to be a nice place based on Google reviews. As soon as I opened the door the greasy smell hit me and looking around the poor cleaning of tables, windows etc.... made me think not to have lunch there but I was starving and decided to give them a chance. I ordered a Lomo Saltado wich I have had in many places around the US. It's a simple white rice, and a combination of pieces of steak, fries , tomatoes and onion. In a special Peruvian sause. I thought it for sure would be the easiest way to do not make a mistake in my order. What a surprise when not even the white rice was good!!! Not fresh fries, very cold and mixed with a difficult to chew steak, the sauce supost to be tick and testy flavor instead it was like water running in my plate. I am sorry but this is a bad experience, bad meal, wrong 4.1 google stars. Not recomending this...

For 10 years I had been consuming this alfajores cookies. Since I first discovered them in whole Foods oakland. I promoted them and loved them. Then I made an order and wasn’t able to pick it up at the time I had place 1 pm. I call several times no answer. I wanted to see if they could just leave my order outside and no answer. I got there at 2:05 and everything was closed. Didn’t even get a call or anything from them I send them an email and receive no answer then finally I went back and they told me that I had compete lost my order with no chance or order or refund. I try speaking to the owner and she was really rude. I didn’t even want the whole order I had place I just wanted them cookies. I had order a whole order of large alfajores cookies and two empanadas. She said she wasn’t going to loose money. I just don’t understand why she would not answer her phone. It could all have been resolve with a...

I just tried Sabores Del Sur today for the first time and the food was delicious. I ordered Chilean Steak Empanada and a Lomito Sandwich. I could taste the high and fresh ingredients in both dishes. I was impressed with how great the food was. I ate my lunch within minutes and didn't have any leftovers. I unfortunately feel like I can't give 5 stars because the alfajores I ordered did not make it. The owner offered to drive them over when I called to ask what happened, but i declined as it was a small item and it's the lunch rush right now. I ordered through GrubHub and wouldn't recommend doing so. My food came late and the driver didn't check that he had all my items. I know mistakes happen and not sure if the missing item is on the restaurant or the 3rd party delivery service, but that did impact my overall experience and wanted to share. I hope to stop by in person sometime to try the alfajores that seem...
