Well my experienced sucked, we were out exploring downtown lancaster since we are new from jersey and new york. We wanted to try this place since it was puerto rican and us being puerto rican ourselves wanted to show our Italian friend real Latin food we were proud to see a puerto rican restaurant in the heart of a downtown city. We walked in and the atmosphere was off from the start. I asked the lady if we if we could sit she said she had a reservation for five oclock I said ok no problem maybe next time her responds was "well if you gonna be like that". whatt!!!!??? You just said it was reserved. Other customers got up and gave us their seats the lady kept talking in Spanish like I wasn't Latin myself and didn't understand. she was talking to a table of what looked like friends or family. Now was it because we don't look like the typical puerto ricans we got looked down on? I was gonna spend Hella money for what ?ignorance?disrespect ? I don't know what these other reviews are it must be friends and family but it was straight ignorance this is why puerto Ricans don't support other puerto Ricans and why we are looked down at as culture. If it wasn't for my friend I would have told that lady she has a big mouth and needs to learn to have class because she has no education or etiquette what so ever. Deberias estar avergonzada!
Responds to your responds Owner...
Last but not least. I was not treated with respect I'm not family , I'm a paying customer. There was a table in the corner, the group next to us and a couple. The lady who responded could have had better etiquette it's called hospitality I know im a culinary arts graduate. That's the first thing they teach you. If I felt welcomed I would have stayed the point of my review was to express that it's obvious we are not on the same page. We left because we were told there were no tables because They were reserved I said " ok no problem maybe next time." No matter what I said I still don't understand this responds "If you want to be that way!" Unneccessary. Her responds made my company uncomfortable so as a group we decided to eat else where after a gentleman said here sit. The point is why would another customer give us there seats? Think about that. There was no need for her nasty responds, she was rude. THANK YOU FOR YOUR OFFER ITS APPRECIATED BUT NO THANK YOU...
Read moreIt was an awesome experience from beginning to end. It's been a while since I've had some authentic Puerto Rican food and we happen to be in the area and my wife had a craving for it. We live about an hour away. Even though we had to find city parking, it was worth going here for the amazing food and service.
When we first entered, we didn't know what to do so we looked at the menu and after asking how to order, we sat at a table. There are not many tables in the place so I could see it being completely full and not being able to eat there, but I'm sure they would be happy with a takeout order. There are a few tables outside as well.
The food quality is amazing! We ordered a lot of food since it was hard to decide what to get. We had a little bit of each dish and took the rest home. I feel bad saying this, but it's better than my mom's Puerto Rican cooking and she cooks great so that's saying a lot. 😁 The people there are really nice and made me...
Read moreMy gosh! This place is an absolute hidden gem! I was a bit skeptical at first because it looked more like a take out location. There were seating, but only a few tables. I'm glad I gave this place a chance! I've been to many Spanish restaurants, including some very high-end ones, and this restaurant was by far, the best, most authentic Puerto Rican restaurant I've ever been to hands down! Ambiance isn't everything,...food is everything! The food was beyond delicious!! The service was excellent and the waitress was very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. I will definitely be back, and this will be my go-to spot whenever I visit Lancaster again. Can't wait until...
