Catch a Fire Pizza is hands down one of the BEST local pizza places I've ever been to! I came here recently and ordered the Pickle Bacon Ranch Pizza, and WOW... it was absolutely PERFECT. The flavor was insane, the crust was crispy but still soft inside, and every bite was packed with deliciousness. Seriously, if you're a pickle lover, you HAVE to try it!
I also got the Pepperoni Pizza, and let me tell you — this was by far the best pepperoni pizza I've ever had in my life. The pepperoni was crispy on the edges, there was just the right amount of cheese, and the sauce was packed with flavor. I usually don’t get too hyped over a simple pepperoni pizza, but this one was something special. 10/10 on both pizzas.
Another thing that really stood out to me was the atmosphere. It’s honestly kind of fancy for a pizza place, which I think is so unique and cool. It’s not just your average hole-in-the-wall pizza joint — it has a nice, upscale but still casual vibe, and it’s the perfect spot for a date night, family dinner, or even a casual hangout with friends. Definitely a huge plus in my book.
The service was also AMAZING. Our server was super friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food came out relatively quick, especially considering how busy they were. You could just tell that the staff really cares about their customers and making sure you have a great experience.
The only small complaint I have, and this really isn’t the restaurant's fault, but it’s something to note — when there’s a big local parade or event happening in downtown, they let all the people coming for the event take up all the parking spots, leaving little to no parking for actual customers trying to eat there. This actually happened to me one time when we had a family birthday party planned here, and we ended up having to go somewhere else because we couldn’t find any parking. It was really disappointing, and I feel like there should be designated parking spots strictly for restaurant customers during big events.
BUT — don’t let that take away from how amazing this place is. The food, the atmosphere, the service, EVERYTHING about Catch a Fire Pizza is top-tier. If you’re a pizza lover or just looking for a new local spot to try, I 1000% recommend this place. Just be mindful if there's something big going on downtown, you might want to plan ahead for parking.
Still, this place is absolutely incredible and I’m already planning my next visit. Catch a Fire Pizza — you guys are...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at this cozy little restaurant, and I’m still thinking about how great everything was. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home. They were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed without hovering.
The food was simply fantastic. We started with their famous Ziggy bread, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. It was warm, soft, and had just the right amount of crunch on the outside. I could’ve easily made a meal out of it alone. But then came the pizza, which was out of this world. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside but still soft and chewy on the inside, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. You can tell they take pride in using high-quality ingredients, and it really shows in every bite.
The atmosphere was another highlight. The space is warm and inviting, with a relaxed vibe that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. It’s the perfect spot for a casual dinner with friends or a low-key date night.
One thing that really impressed me was their commitment to sustainability. It’s clear they’re passionate about taking care of the planet, from the eco-friendly packaging to the way they source their ingredients. It’s refreshing to see a restaurant that not only serves great food but also cares about making a positive impact.
Overall, I left feeling full and satisfied, already looking forward to my next visit. If you’re a fan of great food in a laid-back setting, this place is definitely worth...
Read moreIt's definitely a great pizza experience overall. Tons of menu choices, including drinks, apps, and pizza, of course. Love the fire baked style, and the topping selection is very good.
The pizza always tastes fresh, and they aren't skimping on the portion sizes, but i think the consistency could be better. I've visited probably 10 times and only had a different experience with the pizza twice. Once was either a forgotten pizza in the oven (way over done) or i got the wrong pizza (someone ordered extremely well done). The other was a very minimal amount of toppings, which i figured was someone getting trained.
The drinks are "custom seltzers," which are good but limited on flavors and very little consistency. The beer and wine selection is probably the highlight when it comes to drinks. A lot of great selections from local breweries make that list, so it's a great place to try new crafts.
Apps are good, just need a little work. Pretzels are great when done right, but half the time, they come out hard and like someone dipped them in salt right out of the grease. The wings have delicious sauces to choose from and seem to be a hit with the family.
Overall, I'd say this place is a concept that will last a very long time, but it seems understaffed, which i believe is a reason for the cons listed. We've never had a horrible experience here, but we have had great experiences that will keep us coming back.
