The only reason I'm not giving a one-star review is because I've eaten here before several times during the day and the food was actually good. However, tonight was literally the most disgusting experience I've had at Padeli's and I will likely not be back. Maybe it's my fault for having arrived 30-40 minutes before closing. To start, we ordered our food, they didn't have enough rice for one of the bowls so they took my bowl to the back and filled it from who knows where. Then they added feta cheese to our bowl, but before doing so they noticed a spoon in the feta cheese container that shouldn't of been there and proceeded to take it out and put it where they believed it went, instead of grabbing a new utensil. Then I added an order of the pita chips and dip and asked for tzatziki sauce as the dip, which the had none left in the container, so they scraped the edges and bottom several times in order to fill one small dip container, that was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! Can't believe I still paid and tipped these two girls for this kind of service. Then to top it all off, the soda machine was off or not working and had to be reset in order for us to get one soft drink, all of this going on while they were cleaning around us and sweeping, which I understand it's close to closing time, but do you realize while you're sweeping, there are particles possibly from your entire shift going into the air and into our food and drink??? None the less we paid for our food but we are now up the road at Spitz where they actually have customers there and the service so far has been better.
EDIT: In response to the owners reply, it may have been "one instance" for me, but upon further review of reviews left by other customers, this definitely isn't the first time this has happened. Honestly I just hope this is something you discuss with your staff again to prevent any further returning customers from deciding to not come back due to this repeated type...
Read moreI really wanted to give Padeli's 5 stars but our last visit was a little disappointing. Yes the portion sizes are great and the taste is great BUT my husband found a hair in his gyro. I started to look around and the floor didn't look like it had been cleaned for a while. Also, the tables weren't being wiped down in between visits from other customers. I had to go and get supplies and wipe it down myself. This was 6-21-2021 in the evening. As I went to get water, I looked over and the preparation area wasn't even wiped down. There were no customers for at least 5-10 minutes which would have given the employees time to wipe down things. I would have just appreciated a little more cleaniness from this place. Some suggestions would be to make sure everything is wiped down after closing. A little boy was climbing up the wall so the walls should be wiped down good. Also, the hand sanitizer stand looked like it needed a good cleaning. The trash bins on top looked like they could be scrubbed down too. With us just coming out of Covid-19, I might be a little more picky about where I eat from now on. Just trying to help keep everyone safe. Good luck getting back to the 5 stars....I really would love to rate again but it might be a little while before we...
Read moreOur first time here and the whole family was impressed! We have had really good falafel in California🌴 so this place did not disappoint! I tried the Traditional Gyro with the choice of lamb and beef for meat. It was flavorful, ingredients were fresh, and I upgraded my meal to the combo, which included the fries and drink. Their fries 🍟 are wow, they were really just spot on - light firm crisp on the outside, and soft on the inside - they were actually pretty perfect. In addition, they had salt grinders so grinded salt (looked like sea salt) was like the cherry on top! We also ordered the falafel gyro and with the cucumber sauce that went on top of that has the right creaminess to it with cucumbers already incorporated in the sauce. It kept the falafel even more moist and exceeded our expectations. We also tried their brownie and baklava. The brownie was just ok - a bit dry. Baklava was soaked in honey, so the crispiness and flakiness was absent. However, giving this location 5 stars because of the excellent service that was given to us. They also had flavored soda here, which a part of the group was excited about! Sarah - the Manager was super personable and just friendly. Will def come back to this location to try other...
