Seems to be going downhill fast. I've been three times and every time I have listened to other customers complain loudly about a poor experience. It's hard to enjoy dining in with other people so upset around you. Apparently I was served before someone who had been waiting while watching their food sit under a heat lamp "for over 10 minutes." Seems the main problem is there's one overworked employee attempting to make milkshakes, deliver food to tables, and run the cash register. When I arrived there was only one person ahead of me who simply wanted a large order of potato fries. The server wearing blue gloves said "I won't be able to put that in for a while". After finishing making and then delivering the milkshakes, and then delivering three or four other burgers to various tables, he took off the gloves and was able to operate the cash register. To say he seemed overworked (while apparently trying to do his best) is an understatement. While eating my burger and onion rings (at about $1.00 per full sized onion ring) I also overheard him apologize to at least three other customers one of whom was quite upset. I paid $4.09 for 6 onion rings. The black iced tea had an overwhelming flavor of mint. The floor, garbage cans, and most of the tables were dirty, and the seat covers worn out. I ate at the Smashburger at the Salt Lake City airport several months ago and it was excellent. So I went out of my way to visit this location three times now. I don't think I'll be back. The difference between the onion rings as depicted on their menu and as delivered to me pretty much says it all.

I recently visited Smashburger, and I cannot say enough great things about my experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, creating a positive atmosphere. What truly stood out, however, was how accommodating they were to my son’s special dietary needs. My son has specific dietary restrictions, and dining out can often be stressful for us. At Smashburger, the team went above and beyond to ensure he had a safe and enjoyable meal. They carefully listened to our concerns, offered clear ingredient information, and even made suggestions on how they could customize his order to meet his requirements. It was clear they genuinely cared and wanted us to have the best possible experience. The food itself was absolutely delicious. The burgers were perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, while the sides, particularly the crispy fries, were the perfect complement. My son was thrilled with his meal, and it was heartwarming to see him enjoy it without any worries. Smashburger’s commitment to exceptional service, attention to detail, and willingness to accommodate special requests is truly impressive. I highly recommend this location for anyone seeking great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and top-tier customer care. We’ll definitely be back!

Our family was so excited to go to a regular fave after the tulip festival. We were starving and hand-picked this restaurant due to past incredible experiences. First thing I noticed was they didn’t have my favorite turkey burger on the menu. When I mentioned it to the cashier, she said “oh yeah, we don’t sell that anymore.” We had to wait over 15 minutes for our food and once our burgers came out, every single patty was burned black and even the cheese was fried to a crisp. From what we heard other tables saying, theirs were also burned. It was a completely overpriced experience for the terrible burgers we got. As we left (extremely dissatisfied with our meal) we noticed the banners outside noting “under new management.” So disappointing to see such a dramatic decline in service and food quality. We won’t be going there again.

Addition: Today (15/JUL/23) the SmashFries here were the best we've ever had at SmashBurger. Already love them, but these were piping hot, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. Great food today.

This location tends to be missing something every time, so that could be improved. Ice, certain drink option, AC, sauces... Just something.

A burger with fries and a shake is pretty pricey, but I will say, it's one of the few places I'm almost ok with it. The burgers are great. This day the meat wasn't as good as normal, so that's a bummer (usually a pattie is smashed thin and much larger than the bun, with just a little crisp/well-done edge which is magic). But the fries were hot, the rest was great. Very helpful cashier/server. We have gone to this location quite a few times and it's been good. Sometimes it can get a bit hectic at the front when it's busy (understaffed?). I know it sounds less than a 4+ star review but really Smashburger is our occasional splurge because it is great :) They also do their Dairy free shakes now which fits for one of us.

Edit Sep 20. Better today because I called and asked for a well done pattie. But the burger was cold by the time I was helped (pick up). Slow service.

Oct 20. Slow. They were turning people away while three people were barely doing anything. Mistake on order. One fry hot. One cold. Decent food overall today, but just so inconsistent. Couldn't explain how reward points work or how to use at register, so they comped a fry, but then didn't include in order. Had to ask again. I want this place to succeed. But it's just...

Super bummed out about this trip. Let me just start by saying we felt for the guy in the front running the cashier doing his very best to keep things operating. We left another place and came here since it wasn’t very crowded at all. There was no line so we got order right away. We ordered at 6:02pm and finally got our food at 7:15pm and left at 7:25pm. At least 30-40 people left before ordering because of the wait and many people got a refund after waiting forever and left which I was frustrated we didn’t do. The guy was trying to give people some food who had been waiting for so long (which was other people’s cold food who had ordered and left) included us which we appreciated. The shakes came completely like water and the guy noticed and said they would make two new ones without asking but they never did. Everyone complained of upset stomachs after leaving- been to smash burger many times at other locations- never eaten straight oil like that before. Sweet potato fries were burnt black. There weren’t any drinks we wanted left, the trash was completely overflowed so we had to leave it on the table which I felt bad about. Seemed like a major staffing issue. Super weird vibes from everyone waiting and frustrated. Felt bad for the one dude trying his best. The owner is going to need to step up and figure this one out- I mean this was a wild experience and everyone there felt it. Everyone there was ready for a reality tv show to jump out and say just kidding. Sorry for the bad review but wanted to just give...
