VERY PRICEY MENU, EVERYTHING IS ALA CARTE Since Fleming's arrived in Lincolnshire we have dined at the restaurant usually for special occasions. The prices for their entrees are VERY high and the side dishes/salads are all ala carte. I received a gift card for the restaurant and decided to re-visit the restaurant after a movie during one of Chicago's famous snow storms. We were surprised that, several other people had braved the snow and we were not the only ones in the restaurant. It was probably 25% full. We were greeted by our waiter and given the Wine List on a tablet. We declined any alcoholic drinks due to the severe weather conditions. Well... I think that set the "tone" for the night. Our last experience at the restaurant had left us disappointed; basically our waiter had ignored us and we had to ask for the bill, not something one does in a $$$$ restaurant. So, we kinda knew what to expect. The prices of their entrees, especially their steaks have dramatically increased since our last visit, $55 for a steak. WOW! As an appetizer, I had the french onion soup ($14.50), one of my favs. However, the cheese on top was slightly burnt so, the soup absorbed the burnt taste. We both ordered the beef short ribs with mashed potatoes. My ribs were a little tough but, my hubby said his were very tender. Before, we had finished our entree, the waiter approached us and asked if we were ready for dessert? Um no, let us finish our entree. It turns out my gift card had more $$ than I thought so, we did end up ordering the chocolate pecan pie to go. The next day I measured the width of the pecan pie slice, less than 2 1/2 inches wide for $14.50 per slice! I did the math: 8 slices of pie at $14.50 = $116 per pie! What? The ambience of the steak house is quiet and good for conversation. However, this was probably our last time. We simply cannot afford $100 per person, NOT including drinks. P.S. There are no prices online...

The Porterhouse for 2 Tues Deal is a great value for a steakhouse at 140 . 34oz cooked a perfect Medium Well. Pink..2 full sides included. Brussels here were excellent whereas they were weak at their Tucson location. Asparagus perfectly blanched and grilled. 2 full salads included. The Wedges were huge and chilled right and crisp. The Steak seasonee perfectly. Sons loved his Chilean 1Seabass and other son enjoyed his 6oz Filet and Crab Filled Lobster Tail. 2 full desserts included and the Strawberry Butter Cake and Caramel Brownie were delicious amd ample sized.
Service was subpar at best, very weak at worst. Slow Tuesday night and late. We arrived 735. Saul, our server seemed like a nice guy, but definitely not ready for the big leagues. Beyond being inattentive, i dont think he can communicate with guests at a Fine Dining level and deliver that type of service experience.
I had to flag him down to order 2nd round of drinks. Had to flag him down to ask him why the 2nd round is taking forever. Empty Salad plates sat on table for 8-10 mins until i flagged down busser to clear. And when our Porterhouse came, i had to flag down Manager for the trio of salts that supposed to come with. Saul literally checked on us when we were 80% done. Clearing dinner plates was slow as well. All this pretty unacceptable at these price points. Didnt say anything to anyone because i didnt feel like being that guy.
Food was solid but i...
Read moreI appreciated the ambiance and the cheesecake for sure! The brussel sprouts were amazing and the Flemings potatoes were good. The bread came with 2 different butters...one made with champagne the other one tasted very familiar but we were stumped and had to ask....it was caramelized onion....it was ok....but made me uncomfortable....lol. The dessert we had was cheesecake and lava cake...yummy! The wafers that came with the lava cake tastes like chocolate chip cookie crisp....I. don't drink alcohol so I can't rate that. The appetizer we tried was the pork belly. The meat was tenderrrrr.....tender...and cooked to perfection. I didn't like the sauce or the grits because of the interesting flavor....again, it made me uncomfortable.....lol! The caesar salad was devine.....with sundried prosciutto....it was a delight! Now.....we had the tomahawk steak.....I must say I was impressed when asking for it well done, the waiter said....well done no pink. I said yesss! Thank you! I was elated because that is usually how I order to drive home the point that I don't eat pink meat....well.....fail! It was definitely NOT well done! That was disappointing because it's a pet peeve of mine when a restaurant cooks my steak any way other than how I order it. All in all.....I'll say 4 stars to be generous.....the pink steak was just unwelcome. It did come with 3 different butter sauces which was an interesting touch. The waiter was impeccable! The complimentary chocolate truffles...
